At the United Nations this afternoon, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu sought to clarify an issue that has confounded President Obama for months — where to place “red lines” on Iran’s nuclear program — by using one simple, easy-to-read chart:



As you can see, that is a drawing of a bomb. It is divided into three stages. Iran has completed the first stage (amassing enough 70 percent-enriched uranium for a bomb), and, according to Netanyahu, can complete the second stage (amassing enough 90 percent-enriched uranium) as soon as next summer. The key here — and this is important — is to stop Iran before it enters the final stage, i.e. the completion of the bomb. Let’s hope the White House was paying attention.

Of course, the bomb drawing got its share of criticism on Twitter, as BuzzFeed reports:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu punctuated his attempt to rally the international community against Iran’s nuclear program with a crude illustration of a bomb in a speech to the United Nations General Assembly in New York today — a move that drew him an immediate wave of mockery, but also reflected an astute grasp of the changing media climate.

The chart wasn’t unserious, it was simple. And it’s precisely what the public needs to see at this point. The White House has been able to drag their feet on the debate, in part, because they’ve portrayed it as murky and complicated. It isn’t. There will be debates, if and when the time comes, over whether Iran has actually reached the red line, and whether the intelligence is accurate or complete. But there’s no question that a clear and firm line needs to be drawn.

Alan Bergstein writes in BIZPAC Review:  "The Palm Beach County Democratic Party on Tuesday let loose its new weapon, something I call the "Jewish Grandmothers Group," designed to stifle free speech. At the Ross Jewish Community Center in Boynton Beach, Mark Alan Siegel, the chairman of the local party, joined Rabbi Barry Silver to square off in a debate with Christian-Zionist Tom Trento and me. The topic: Should Jews vote for Obama or Romney?  In what should come as no surprise by now, the informational event was closed down early because of threats of disorder.


An early "uh-oh" sign popped up in our heads when, just one hour before the doors were opened, the JCC informed us that all videotaping and cameras were banned from the room. Just the day before, a JCC official carefully planned where the best locations for the cameras would be. Why was the recording of the event canceled? We found out during the meeting. Obviously, with the disruptions so well-planned, the Democrats wanted no record of this behavior to reach the public. They succeeded. An early band of about 50 elderly women, brandishing professionally designed "Women Will Remember in November" signs, occupied the front of the auditorium. Some had Obama stickers glued to their foreheads. The table occupied by Tom and me had a contingent of these seniors in the standing-room-only area right by us. During the event, until it was closed down because of their disruptive antics, they sauntered over to us, uttering denunciations and comments.

During the debate, this raucous, rude, disrespectful, well-trained squad heckled, jeered and disrupted Tom and me so often that I announced to the time keeper that my speaking time had to be extended in order to compensate for the disorder in the room. The final straw came when a woman, adorned with an Obama sticker, was hauled away from the microphone while shouting indecipherable epithets. Armed security personnel roamed the hall to threaten anyone with an exposed camera that they were to be expelled for having them in view.

Just recall the Democrats' attempts to prevent their members from hearing the issues as explained by Republicans. Debbie Wasserman Schultz in Miami, or the threat of Republicans being arrested at B'nai Torah in Boca Raton. Then there was the debate between Democrats and Republicans that was canceled by the sponsor, Hadassah, apparently at Wasserman Schultz's request.

It's clear that the Democratic Party in South Florida is fearful of its loyal members hearing anything that contradicts the tales told them by party leaders. "Keep them ignorant" is the mantra of the left. The media is already complicit with this group. Taking away open, clean, clear dialogue that leads to one making his/her own decisions on such matters as Israel, abortion, taxation or even education is as dangerous to Democrats as kryptonite is to Superman. "Keep free speech at arm's length from the sheep" is their motto.

The Beer Hall Putsch of 1923 was a failed revolution by which Adolf Hitler and other members of the Nazi Party attempted to seize control of Munich, Bavaria and Germany. Hoping to gain power over Germany and reign as a dictator, Hitler staged a coup d'etat during a speech from Bavarian Commisioner Gustav von Kahr at a beer hall in Munich. Hitler was able to establish some control over Munich, but soon it was obvious that the coup wasn't making much real progress. Hitler and other members of his group then decided to stage a march much like the March to Rome in Italy, but were soon stopped and arrested by Bavarian officers.

These incidents are reminiscent of the 1923 Munich Beer Hall Putsch that catapulted Hitler into the limelight. These incidents should send warning bells off in the heads of those who fear the loss of free speech and the dialogue that is expected and welcomed in a democracy such as ours. If the behavior of the "Jewish Grandmothers Group" is an indication that the vast, liberal Jewish community is in the hands of those who would turn this nation into another Nazi Germany, communist Russia, North Korea or Cuba, then all of us, Jews and non-Jews alike, and our descendants will suffer the inevitable fate of tyrannical rule by the few."

How will we protect the West from a theo-political revolutionary movement the Obama era deems taboo to challenge?

LAX has direct flights to North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East – more direct flights than any other airport in the world.

This has made LAX a prime target for terror attacks. Three of the four planes involved in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 were originally headed for Los Angeles. American Airlines Flight 11, and United Airlines Flight 175, were from Logan International Airport, in Boston, Massachusetts, and American Airlines Flight 77 was from Washington Dulles International Airport, in Dulles, Virginia.

As well as being America's second most populous metropolis, the metro- Los Angeles area (which includes Orange County) is also a center for Muslim activity. The Shura Council claims that there are several hundred thousand Muslims in all four counties of Southern California - Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernadino.  Orange County is also a hub of Muslim activism.  There resides the influential and powerful Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi- chairman of the The Islamic Shura Council of Southern California, and Director of the Islamic Society of Orange County (and until 2001, President of I.S.N.A.- the Islamic Society of North America). The Council for American-Islamic Relations (C.A.I.R.) has base of operations in SoCal, as does the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC).

There is a strong Muslim influence at the University of California at Irvine (U.C.I.) in Orange County, which manifests in a strong Muslim Students Association - a movement which was established by the Muslim Brotherhood in 1963. Some MSA / MSU leaders were arrested and found guilty in conspiring to interfere with an invited on-campus address by Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren- which resulted in the disbanding of the association for a semester).  There is a strong anti-Israel attitude in Orange County's Muslim culture - typified by the anti-Zionist climate on the campus- which presents an annual, Israel-Apartheid Week of public demonstrations, lectures, and exhibits vilifying the Jewish state.

On July 4th, 2002, a Muslim Egyptian chauffeur, Hesham Mohamed Hadayet (who had been residing in Orange County's Irvine, Calif.) executed a massacre of innocent people checking-in for an El Al Airlines flight to Toronto at LAX Airport. Brandishing 2 guns and a hunting knife, Hadayet began to shoot people around the El Al counter.

Hadayet's shots and slashes wounded 4 people and killed 2 people: 25-year-old, Israeli-American customer-assistance agent, Victoria Chen, who was shot checking-in passengers flying to Israel; also Jacob Aminov, a father of 5 children (and 1 on the way) who was only dropping-off a friend, Michael Shabtai (whose post-traumatic stress disorder from the bloodbath contributed to his pre-mature death at age 57).  Physically injured were the 2 El Al security guards (including Haim Sapir, wounded in the gun-battle which ultimately brought Hadayet down); Canadian passenger Sarah Philips, age 61, shot in the ankle which necessitated immediate surgery;  54-year-old Israeli passenger Arie Golan, who incurred superficial stab wounds grappling against the knife-slashing Hadayet; and Dr. David Parkus, a trauma surgeon from Beaumont, Texas who lept in to wrestle Hedayet's weapons.

Mr. Hackel relates that only for the shooting not commencing until the end of the check-in for El Al's Flight 106 to Toronto and Tel Aviv were more potential victims spared.

Hadayat Belonged to Egyptian Jihad, al Qaeda’s Operational Arm

According to DEBKAfile's Counter-Terror Sources:

"Hashem Mohamed Hadayat, 41, who gunned down Yakov Aminov, 46, and Vicky Hen, 25 – both from Los Angeles - on the 4th of July at the El Al terminal of Los Angeles, and wounded 7 others, is revealed by DEBKAfile’s intelligence and counter-terror sources as a Muslim extremist. During his ten years in the United States, he was a secret operative of the Egyptian Jihad who maintained undercover links to the same Jihad cell in Brooklyn, New York, as the “blind sheikh” Omar Abdel-Rahman and Ramzi Yousef. Both are doing time for perpetrating the first attack on the New York World Trade Center in 1993.

Hadayat’s murderous attack on El Al flight 106 passengers points back to the Egyptair 990 disaster of 1999, reviving the many questions left open by that earlier, half stifled inquiry, which carefully stepped round any suggestion of terrorism. It also raises the question of how many sleeper cells the Egyptian Jihad, al Qaeda’s primary operational arm, maintains in American cities.

Hadayat struck the El Al ticket line on his 42nd birthday. The initial FBI inquiry found through records of his fingerprints at the Department of Motor Vehicles, which issued him with a limousine license, that he was married with at least one child, and had lived in Irvine for the last two years, working on a green card.

Since the attack, the possibility that he arrived in America as a sleeper terrorist must be seriously addressed. US investigators realize he was not a lone operative and are seeking his accomplices in such matters as setting up the hit, providing the guns he carried and intelligence on the security situation at the Tom Bradley terminal.

After the 4th of July attack, in order not to clash directly with the US authorities which refused to identify it as a terrorist assault, El Al and Israeli security spokesmen said that even if the Egyptian gunman was not a proven member of a terrorist group, his crime ranked as an act of terror.

However, Sunday, July 7 the influential Arabic London-based Al Hayat followed the original DEBKAfile disclosure of July 5 - that Hadayat was a member of the Egyptian Jihad Islami - and took it a step further. According to the Arabic paper, the Egyptian gunman met Dr. Ayman Zuwahri, the Jihad Islami chief who is Osama bin Laden’s deputy, twice in California – once in 1995 and again in 1998.

According to DEBKAfile’s sources, it was at that second encounter that Hadayat was told to leave his job with Mercury and given capital to set up his small limousine firm, so as to take advantage of his access to airport facilities and airline personnel contacts, while at the same time shaking off any watchers.

The Al Hayat report places Dr. Zuwahri in California unobserved less than three years before the 9/11 hijacking attacks in America and a year and a half before the Egyptair disaster.

The Hadayat family lives in Cairo. His father, a retired Egyptian army general, and his uncle, a former minister of science, admit that Hesham was a fervent Muslim who did what he could to encourage everyone to read the Koran. They say he was happy in Irvine, California. His neighbors in that Los Angeles suburb tell a different story, that he hated Israelis and Jews and asked one of them to take down the American and US Marine flags put up after 9/11.

From all the foregoing, our counter-terror experts cite Hesham Hadayat as a classical al-Qaeda plant. He was positioned at Los Angeles airport in the early 1990s to bide his time for the right moment to carry out a terrorist attack against an El Al flight. When Hayat’s handlers saw he was under observation, they made him lower profile. His assignment was revised to fit his role as a limousine driver familiar to the Tom Bradley terminal staff and free to move around - namely to shoot down a line of passengers waiting to board an El Al flight.

Although from 1994 or 1995 at the latest, Hadayat was brought to the notice of American security, was under the eye of El Al security, and the Egyptian authorities must have known about him, he was never investigated - even after 9/11. The FBI has admitted he figured on no watch list for terrorists. This left him perfectly free to carry out his mission on behalf of the extremist Islamic organization – all of which raises some hard questions about the way in which the war against terror is carried out in the United States."

Mr. Avi Chen complains that on that day, L.A.X. Aiport Security failed to have a single, armed-officer patrolling the multi-airline ticketing terminal. These are the officers who are supposed to be looking for known suspicious individuals. 7 other policemen had been assigned away to cover beach and parade duty that day. He claims not only was the only officer working at the opposite end of the building from El Al, that once the shooting began - a call to 911 was not responded to for 7 minutes. An ambulance did not arrive for longer than 20 minutes. And suspiciously, airport security's response to his lawyer's request for a copy of  the CCTV video from the EL AL corridor was that there was none- that the CCTV was not working at the time Mr. Hadayet was there and shooting.

At the 10th annual, memorial gathering to remember the victims and their survivors at LAX, Klaus (Ben-Ami) Hackel, the German-raised, El Al Station Chief at the time of the massacre, remembers Vicky Hen in glowing terms - and with tears.

Ms. Amani Mustafa, a Muslima for the first part her life, told the crowd of several dozen, that Islam inculcates hate and violence against Christians, Jews, and non-Muslim culture through Islamic verses, dogma, and culture, which probably inspired Mr. Hadayet to commit this slaughter. Investigators seeking clues to the motives and methods of the intended massacre at El Al reported that Hadayet had posted a notice on the front-door of his home, "Read the Quran."

In the following compilation of  L.A. TV news coverage of the 10th Memorial event, only Fox 11 reporter Chris Blatchford included the Islamic militancy motives of Hedayet's attack. Most other reporters omitted it entirely, panderingly framing their stories as a memorial for victims of a common criminal- and avoiding the significance of the day as L.A.'s Pearl Harbor Day- commemorating the L.A. debut of the same religio-political revolutionary movement that struck the World Trade Center, sparking America's "War on Terror" and seeking to influence American culture away from Judeo-Christian democracy and towards Islamic subjuagtion to a global, Islamic leadership. 





ABC 7's Miriam Hernandez did call Hadayet's attack an act of terror, but appeared to downplay the role of Islam and terrorism in her story.  She mischaracterized that federal investigators only took 2 months to declare the attack "a terrorist attack" tempered his motivations with extenuating frustrations in Hadayet's personal life, never mentioning Muslim or Islam, and while she did mention "According to the FBI, Hedayet wanted to die as a martyr," Ms. Hernandez cut off the phrase as published by CNN's Charles Feldman on Sept 4, '02: "He wanted to be a martyr and take as many people with him as possible."  How would attacking the check-in line of El Al civilian passengers earn Egyptian-national Hadayet martyrdom?  Egypt has been at peace with Israel since March, 1979. The Second Palestinian Intifada against Israeli civilians was in effect in 2002- was this a domestic American Muslim branch of Palestinian nationalist militantism?  The attack came 10-months after Radical Islam's destruction of New York's World Trade Center. No connection? To achieve martyrdom by "taking as many people with him as possible," couldn't he have struck a more densely populated counter in the International Terminal?  Why could the NYC attackers achieve martyrdom by killing assorted American "infidels" in the WTC, but in L.A. to be a martyr, Hedayet had to strike El Al? 


Ms. Hernandez' ambiguous characterization inferred that Hedayet's motivation to achieve martyrdom was to avenge Israel's military oppression of Palestinian Arabs. If Palestine was an incitement for Hedayet, it was probably moreso as a hub for Islamic dogma to kill Jews. Palestinian TV (both Fatah and Hamas, but also Egyptian religious TV programs) available on satellite and the internet- are rife with government-appointed, clerics damning Judaism and Jews, which encourage the killing of Jewish people to be not just mandated as "the duty" of a good Muslim, but to die in the act of killing a Jew grants the highest reward in heaven. Hadayet posted on his front door, "Read the Quran." He might have simply posted the Hamas website poster, "Kill a Jew- Go to Heaven!" teaching that killing a Jew is enough to grant the rewards of Heaven.

The text on Hamas' poster reads, "I will knock on Heaven's doors with the skulls of Jews" - with an axe crashing through the word "Jews."

Artists craft, ignite, then, demolish giant ice-menorah in L.A. Chabad Lubavitch gives Los Angeles, a city more accustomed to sand-sculpting than ice-sculpting, its first hand-crafted ice-menorah. The menorah draws attention to the history of the Maccabean Jews of Judea who fought the Syrian Hellenists to rededicate the Second Temple in Jerusalem, 165 BCE.

Rabbi Tzemach Cunin leads the ceremony which featured traditional oil-cooked foods, potato pancakes and jelly-donuts. The Chainsaw Chicks crew wowed the attendees with their custom designed, outdoor crafted, ice-menorah- which for safety reasons, they publicly demolished as the conclusion of the festivities. Jerusalem will host the first ice festival in its history in March-April 2012. It will be held at the city's old train station plaza and will include an exhibition of Jerusalem's most famous sites, all carved in ice, and many attractions for visitors. 

The sculpture exhibition will display Jerusalem's most unique sites, including the Tower of David, the Israel Museum and the Light Rail. Visitors will enter the complex through an icy "Jaffa Gate" and pass through a route including ice slides and other attractions linked to the different displays.

Six Congressmen attended, including Rep. Michelle Bachmann, who called on President Barack Obama “to accelerate covert operations and cyber operations in Iran and order the CIA Director to take all means necessary to stop Iran from getting the bomb before it is too late,” said Bachmann, a member of the House Intelligence Committee.

“And the Pentagon should prepare a war plan immediately to tell us what to do to prevent Iran from gaining those nuclear weapons,” she continued.

In Prime Minister Netanyahu’s video message, he praised Z.O.A. Exec. Director Morton Klein for being a “passionate Zionist” and the ZOA for ”promoting the truth no matter what the consequences are."

Netanyahu also lauded Beck, telling him, “You too have been fearless in defending Israel against the slanders that are hurled against [it]. You’ve done that with considerable personal cost, but you’ve never backed off, you’ve never flinched, you’ve never walked away. And I want to tell you how deeply we appreciate this stand of courage and integrity.”

Glenn Beck portrayed the challenges facing Israel and the Jewish people in apocalyptic terms -- as the ultimate showdown between good and evil. Beck was the only speaker at the dinner whose voice reached a pitch more feverish than Klein’s.

Beck said he came to the ZOA as a brother. “It’s personal,” he said repeatedly.

And clearly he has not been chastened by the urgings of some Jewish groups to tread lightly with the Holocaust analogies. Again and again he invoked them, saying the world stood on a precipice like the one it faced in 1939 -- only this time it’s worse, as not only is the world ignoring rising evil, he said, it is actively helping it along.

An obscene moral equivalence has been established by this deal between the innocent and the guilty.
This equivalence is being played out in the coverage which describes the deal as a ‘prisoner swap’ or ‘prisoner exchange’ – more than 1000 Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails for one Israeli prisoner held by Hamas. But Shalit was a hostage, kidnapped in an act of illegal aggression by an organisation whose aim is the destruction of Israel and which allowed him not one visit by the Red Cross during his five year incarceration.

By contrast, the released Palestinians have not just been tried and punished according to due process of law, but include among their number not just those who have committed some of the worst terrorist atrocities in Israel’s history – such as the blowing up of Sbarro’s pizza restaurant in Jerusalem, where 16 people were murdered including five members of the Schijveschuurder family -- but even worse, some of the masterminds behind such atrocities.

The equivalence being drawn in the coverage of this deal reflects in turn the morally bankrupt ‘tit-for-tat’ analysis of the Arab war against Israel employed by so many in Britain and the west. For whenever Israel points out that any military action against the Palestinians is only in response to Palestinian attacks, many in Britain claim that those Palestinian attacks were only in response to previous Israeli attacks. Thus Israel is always painted as the ultimate aggressor.

This is entirely false. From the moment Israel was re-established in 1948, it has only ever launched military operations against the Arabs in response to actual or imminent Arab attacks. Yet many in Britain refuse to acknowledge the difference between murderous aggression and the defence against it.

They refuse to acknowledge that Hamas sets out to murder as many young Israelis as possible, whereas Israel goes to great lengths (not always successfully) to avoid civilian casualties. They refuse to acknowledge that the aim of every single military operation by Israel in Gaza is to defend and protect itself against attack by a fanatically Jew-hating enemy pledged not only to destroy Israel but to wipe out every single Jew on earth.

The refusal to acknowledge this crucial moral difference has meant that many in Britain and the west view Israel as the aggressor in the conflict, and the victimisation of Israelis is largely glossed over. So just as the anguish of Israeli terror victims’ families over the Shalit deal has been minimised by the media coverage – particularly in Israel itself, which reflects the malign nature of its own left-wing media class -- so the anguish of Israel itself as a state under permanent existential siege is routinely ignored, and Israel instead grotesquely portrayed as the aggressor in the region. . . .

What too many in Britain and the west still don’t understand is that what Israel is up against is what Britain and the west are now up against – not a violent campaign by people fighting for a state of their own but an Islamist cult of death, in which the murder of innocents is a cause for exultation and mass killers are lionised as heroes and religious martyrs, not just by Hamas but by the Fatah leadership in the West Bank too.

The five-year Shalit drama and its disturbing resolution have therefore come to symbolise the toxic cocktail of ignorance, misunderstanding, naivety, malice, cowardice, cynicism, incompetence and moral muddle by the so-called civilised world – including Israel itself -- that has actually served to perpetuate the Middle East impasse.

No decent person can fail to be moved by the return of Gilad Shalit to Israel. Few eyes will have been dry at his reunion with his family. Yet it has to be said that ultimately, this deal represents a triumph of heart over head and sentimentality over realism.  . . .

Israel is now trapped between Hamas, Fatah, Hezbollah, Iran, Syria, Egypt and the Mediterranean Sea – and yet is blamed for preventing peace by building apartments in the suburbs of Jerusalem. The infernal choice it was forced to make over Gilad Shalit was thus but the latest and most dramatic example of how the West has abandoned Israel to swing in the wind.  Read it all

Since Israel allowed the PLO and its terror armies to move their bases from Tunis to Judea, Samaria, and Gaza in 1994, nearly 2,000 Israeli families have involuntarily paid the ultimate price in the “peace process.” The Shalit deal is a moral defeat- most especially for these families of the victims of terrorism: Israel just cancelled more than 900 life sentences to embrace again one soldier. Meir Schijveschuurder, who lost his parents and three of his siblings in the suicide bombing in the Sbarro restaurant in Jerusalem in 2001, yesterday declared against the deal: “We feel like a man who woke up in Germany a day after World War II.”

Terrorism is now sanctified throughout all the Palestinian areas. The streets are plastered with posters glorifying terrorists and suicide bombers. Children trade “martyr cards” the way Western children trade baseball cards. Necklaces with pictures of terrorists, many released today by Israel, are very popular. Signs on the walls of Palestinian kindergartens currently proclaim their pupils as “the martyrs of tomorrow.” Elementary-school principals commend their students for wanting to “tear their [Zionists’] bodies into little pieces and cause them more pain than they will ever know.” Unlike terrorists in other parts of the world, the Palestinian movement aspires to immortality and its violence is always “sacred.” That’s why the freed terrorists will return to kill the Jews.

The Almagor association revealed that 177 Israelis have been killed by prisoners released by Israel in previous deals. The Jews living in the settlements are afraid of a new round of killings. “Many terrorists have been allowed to return to live near our homes, it’s a shock and a disaster,” Hillel Weiss, professor of literature at Bar-Ilan University and a leader in the settlement community, tells me. The deal is a victory for terrorism, since Hamas can now justly demonstrate that killing Jews is infinitely more effective than negotiations in achieving their objectives. It will also be much easier to recruit terrorists when they are encouraged to believe that no matter how many Israelis they kill, there is every likelihood that, if apprehended, they will be released. 

Releasing the terrorists meant saving Gilad’s life, but it also means that more Jews will die and more soldiers will be kidnapped. Now many Israelis ask: How many more lives are to be sacrificed before the rest of the released men — and those to be released in future exchanges — are put behind bars again?  Appeasement breeds only death and destruction. Capitulating will culminate in greater disasters.

Internal contradiction at the heart of the consensus for ransoming Schalit for terrorists renders it likely that the unanimity now surrounding the deal will evaporate soon.

Gilad Schalit is home. And that is wonderful. The terrorists Israel released in exchange for the IDF soldier held hostage by Hamas for more than five years are running around Judea, Samaria and Gaza promising to return to terror. And that is a nightmare.

Given the media’s unchecked power to repeatedly manipulate public opinion to adhere to its radical ideological agenda, it is essential that the government and Knesset step in and reform the media market. Broadcast licensing procedures for television and radio must be deregulated. Television and radio must be open to competition. Broadcasters should be allowed to broadcast whatever they want whenever they want, and the market should dictate who rises and who falls. This is the only way to protect the public against manipulation, and the government from blackmail.

"Is it racist to criticize the Palestinians as the world's most tiresome cry-babies with a bogus cause, and a plight that's entirely self-inflicted?  I bet it is. I wouldn't be surprised if it weren't against the law in certain European countries. But I'm going to do it anyway, because somebody has to. I realize I'll probably lose a few friends with this video. But that's okay, friends like that I can do without.

All any of us can do is tell the truth as we see it.  I mean as we actually see it, and not as we think we're supposed to see it. The worst thing you can do is to see the truth and to tell a lie- and I see the Palestinian cause as a lie. A lie designed to exploit Western liberal guilt, like the lie of Islamophobia, and the lie of the mythical "religion of peace" that nobody has ever seen in action.

I used to be a lot more critical of Israel, and I used to believe there was a fairly simple, two-state solution, because I used to believe the Arabs were acting in good faith.  I still want to believe that, but the evidence tells me I'd be a fool to believe it.

Because I've seen that every concession that Israel makes is met with more demands and more excuses not to negotiate.  They (Palestinians) could have had peace ten-times over if they wanted it, but they don't want peace- they want victory - and they won't be happy 'til Israel is wiped from the map.

A member of Fatah's Central Committee said as much on television recently, but as he said, they keep that to themselves and tell the rest of the world a different story.  And as part of that story, the bogus claim for Palestinian statehood is currently passing through the United Nations, and we're all waiting to see what plops out the other end.

Not that it really matters, because despite what the Palestinian public-relations industry, i.e., the Western media might tell you-  this is not about territory - and it certainly isn't about justice or human-rights, because Arab societies don't know the meaning of those words.

It's about Jew-hatred - as mandated by the Quran - and as preached by the mosques and taught to the children in Arab countries, day in and day out, generation after poisoned generation.

The Arabs don't hate Jews because of Israel, they hate Israel because of Jews.



The situation in the West Bank and Gaza exists because 45-years ago, several Arab countries attacked Israel, unprovoked, with overwhelming odds, because it was the Jewish state. If it hadn't been a Jewish state, they wouldn't have attacked it. And they attacked with the intention of wiping it from the map and of committing genocide.

But they failed because the Jews had a bit more steel in their blood than the Arabs had bargained for.  And who could be surprised after what they'd been through- and after seeing how the rest of the world had responded to their plight.

Large numbers of Jews could have escaped the Nazis if they had somewhere else to go, but other countries wouldn't let them in.

Palestinians welcome news of slain family of Jews

Muslims are frequently found carrying out the Koranic directive to “strike terror into the hearts of the unbelievers.” Actually, make that the Koranic theme, so often is it reiterated in the scriptures devout Muslims take to be the verbatim commands of Allah. (See, e.g., Suras 3:151, 8:12–13, 8:60, 9:5, 33:25–27, 59:2–4, 59:13.) And that is beside the hadith, scriptures in which Mohammed, taken to be the perfect Muslim role model, boasts, “I have been made victorious with terror.” (Bukhari 4.52.220 — just scroll down from here, through the glories promised to Muslims who wage jihad against the infidels.  

Muslims, in fact, are more often exhorted by their scriptures to brutalize non-Muslims than Christians are urged by the gospels to love their enemies and turn the other cheek. Yet, though we assume the latter are meant to take the message to heart, we are somehow sure Islam doesn’t really mean what it says — that when Muslims strike terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, it must be Israel’s fault, or America’s, or something, anything, other than Islam, the only common denominator in these attacks. . . . 

Rep. Peter King is to be applauded for forcing Congress to notice the phenomenon we so gingerly call Muslim “radicalization.” The question that really begs for hearings, though, is why we continue pretending not to know what causes it.
