The New York Daily News reported on Tuesday, February 5, that “Imam Feisel Abdul Rauf, founder and CEO of the American Society for Muslim Advancement, is being accused of swiping donation money intended for the ‘Ground Zero’ mosque to enjoy a lavish lifestyle.”
Regular readers of my website AtlasShrugs.com will not be surprised at this at all. We are proven right again and again, although the media never admits this. I wrote this in October 2010: 

In a piece in Forbes late last year (right before the Ground Zero mosque was announced, Imam and slumlord Rauf extols the riches of fine living. Couture! Sports cars! Cuisine! And the world’s finest prayer rugs (of course). This should solve the riddle of where our two million in taxpayer dollars were going, along with the million from the Dutch government, and his funding from Osama Bin Laden/Al Qaeda-linked Saudi corporation XENEL not to mention our funding his Middle East junkets. 

While the tenants in Ground Zero mosque imam’s slums in New Jersey suffer, Imam Rauf enjoys the finest offerings money can buy. Just last week, Rauf was summoned back to court (he didn’t show, of course) as he was cited with more than 200 housing and health code violations over the past two months. A couple of months ago Union City filed suit against Rauf.
Now it comes out that this sinister Islamic supremacist imam was financing this lavish lifestyle not just by ripping off his slum tenants and our taxpayer dollars, but by stealing from Ground Zero mega-mosque donors as well.

Hammer Lectures at UCLA presented Imam Feisal Rauf of the Ground Zero Mosque controversy, May 4th 2011. A protest of Imam Rauf's professing his intentions as 'moderate' - was staged by Act for America's Shari Goodman and representatives of Stop the Islamization of America (SIOA) and the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI). Several counter-jihadists alleged the Imam's taqiya / jihadist deceptiveness, such as Z.O.A. West Executive Director Shelley Ventura-Cohen. Two idealistic Jewish liberals from Pasadena argued that liberal Jews believe Imam Rauf's professing himself a moderate Muslim. Univ of Calif Irvine adjunct lecturer, Gary Fouse, attempts to edify the liberals of the nature and tactics of Islamist imperialists in America.

The slick and smug imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, former front man and continuing board member for the Ground Zero mosque project, and the posturing adolescent Reza Aslan, appeared together last night at UCLA. It was a revealing harmonic convergence of stealth Islamic supremacists.

Dishonesty and disingenuousness are the golden threads running through the careers and public statements of both Rauf and Aslan. Rauf is the self-proclaimed "man of peace" who has won such renown as a "moderate" that both Bush and Obama sent him to Muslim countries on goodwill missions. But as Pamela Geller has explained:

It is clear that Rauf and other mosque leaders are not as moderate as they claim to be. Rauf has close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood...The Muslim Brotherhood is dedicated, according to a captured internal document, to “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within.” Rauf’s book What’s Right with Islam says on the copyright page that “this edition was made possible through a joint effort of the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) and the office of Interfaith and Community Alliance of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). Funding for this project was provided by IIIT.” Both IIIT and ISNA are Muslim Brotherhood fronts, and ISNA was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding case.

The Arabic translation of Rauf’s book What's Right with Islam is disturbingly entitled  A Call to Prayer from the World Trade Center Rubble: Islamic Dawa in the Heart of Post-9/11 America.  This indicates that he has planned for years to spread Islam and Sharia from the site of the 9/11 attacks -- belying his more recent claims that he intends the mosque to be a center for reconciliation and peace.

He has also been completely dishonest about the mosque project itself. Now it is a community center nowhere near Ground Zero, but when it was initially announced Rauf was forthright, saying: “New York is the capital of the world, and this location close to 9/11 is iconic.”   That statement has now been scrubbed from the online version of the New York Times article in which it initially appeared.

Lebanese-born, Islamist whistleblower, Kamal Saleem , author of "The Blood of Lambs," reveals the genuine threat that political Islamism presents. He warns of the 'culture jihad' being conducted by Islamist organizations such as CAIR and the Muslim Students Association to move the West towards Islamism's cultural, and political imperialism.



The Muslim Students Association protested outside Royce Hall, but would not attend to debate either Mr. Saleem or Walid Shoebat directly about any of their claims.  They did not hesitate to protest to YouTube to remove the video of Walid Shoebat- alleging his remarks are racist- and YouTube complied.
