James O'Keefe: undercover journalism or shock agitprop?

At a presentation by conservative activist James O'Keefe to the Hancock Park Patriots, author Evan Sayet ("Kindergarden of Eden") comments on liberals' treatment of individuals incongrous with the liberal, party line.

South-Central L.A. teacher, Keith Hardine, addresses pressures racist pressures from the black community, intimidating conservative voices- which he encourages to stand up. Liberal blacks convinced Twitter to ban his account. He feels that Barack Obama and Eric Holder, and black demagogues like Al Sharpton are advancing divisiveness and Marxism.

Mark Sonnenklar comments on James O'Keefe's efforts - just having hosted his presentation before a record group of Hancock Park Patriots in L.A. on July 18, 2013.

Andrew Breitbart: Israel's counter-jihad realpolitik frustrates Obama's leftist / Muslim, anti-Zionist realpolitik; When will liberals wake up?

Andrew Breitbart at BlogWorld Expo in New York City, May 26th in one of his most brashly honest, middle-east affairs interviews.

Mr. Breitbart explains why- after watching Pres. Obama & Secy Clinton's harshness towards visiting Israeli Premier Netanyahu - liberal Jews who continue to support Pres. Obama, in the face of his pro-Palestinian advocacy at Israel's expense, must be either scientifically-provably stupid or suicidal.

O.C. Politics: 3-weeks after MSU vs Oren affair, D.A. files no charges against "Irvine 11" militants; Assemblyman DeVore seeks ban of Muslim Student Union from UC Irvine

(KPCC Wire Services) IRVINE — Assemblyman Chuck DeVore sent a letter to UC Irvine's chancellor asking him to ban the Muslim Student Union from campus following several of the group members' arrests while disrupting a speech by Israel's ambassador to the United States.

DeVore, (R-Irvine), who is seeking the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate seat held by Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., also accused the Muslim Student Union of "passing the hat'' for Hamas at a fundraiser for the "terrorist organization'' last year.

"It's time to ban this organization from campus,'' DeVore said. "It's not contributing anything of value to the campus.''

DeVore's letter to UCI Chancellor Michael Drake requesting the ban of the Muslim Student Union follows the arrest of 11 students after allegedly disrupting a Feb. 8 speech by Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren at the campus.

UCI Media Relations Director Cathy Lawhon said the university's response to DeVore's letter is that UCI officials are considering the allegations against the 11 students and the Muslim Student Union. The students and organization face a range of discipline from a warning to expulsion, but it is not known when officials will decide on punishment, Lawhon said.  None of the 11 students who were arrested have been charged, according to court records.

The university is also still investigating the Muslim Student Union's fundraiser last year that critics say benefited Hamas.

The university has been roiled over permitting an anti-Semitic climate to fester on campus over the past several years.

"Anti-Semitism on the Rise in Europe" Video Hits YouTube

CBN News' Dale Hurd follows-up his "European anti-Americanism" series with a new video news report on "European anti-Semitism."

"Even though many European governments have condemned the new rise in anti-Semitism, there is a clear perception among many Jews that Europe's terrible history is somehow coming back to life."

"Jewish communities around the world are under more pressure now than at any time since 1945," says Prof. Robert Wistrich of Hebrew University in Israel. Wistrich is the son of Polish Jews who fled the Holocaust. "Here we are 60 years after that and what lessons have been learned? Not enough."

Distorted Media Coverage

Throughout Europe, distorted and one-sided news coverage has created an Israel that is aggressive and evil.

"It's a demonization based on a radical detextualization, de-legitimization that's been going on," Melanie Phillips, a British conservative, says. "And if you're the averagely ignorant Brit, watching your TV, listening to your radio, you believe it. That's your world view."

In France, a court is deciding whether a government TV channel, France2, showed faked footage of the supposed death of a Palestinian boy, Mohammed al-Durah, during the second intifada in 2000, to make it look like he was killed by Israeli solders. When the judge ordered France2 to turn over all of its footage of the incident, it also showed the boy moving his arms and peering through his fingers after he was supposed to be dead.

But Muslim rage at the original France2 news story led to countless reprisals against Jews around the world. It was even mentioned by terrorists as a reason for the beheading Daniel Pearl.

DemocracyBroadcastingNews.com says the France2 story "globally defames the Jewish nation, Israel, with a fabricated icon of hypocritical brutality and immorality; and criminalizes Jews and their State to justify pariah-punishment."

The EU says Muslims are responsible for half of all attacks on Jews in Europe. In France, Muslims outnumber Jews 10 to 1. Nidra Poller, an American writer and commentator in Paris, says the government and media are afraid of the Muslims.

"The French are using the Muslims, allowing the Muslims, to express this vicious and violent, murderous Jews hatred, and they get a free ride on their old fashioned anti-Semitism," Poller said. "The whole Lebanon war was shown from the Hezbollah point of view. Israel was the villain. And Hezbollah were the innocents who were suffering. So all the Muslims in France got another dose of Jew hatred."

And when Israel invaded Lebanon in 2006, anti-Semitic violence in Europe surged.

Surpising, But Not Unique

Anti-Semitism is by no means just a European phenomenon. But it is in Europe, the place of the Holocaust, where the return of anti-semitism is so surprising.

As a boy in the Netherlands, Manfred Gerstenfeld hid from the Nazis in an upstairs apartment. He may have never believed it could happen again. But he now believes Europe is re-living the 1930s.

"A senior Dutch politician told me a few months ago, 'Look, the Jews have to understand that in the Netherlands, they have no future,' he said.

In large part because Israel lost the media war in Europe long ago, and the Jews are still paying for it."

Should America accomodate Europeans fleeing anti-Semitism? Isn't that what Israel's for?

Benjamin Sarlin writes in the N.Y. Sun: Following a recent fact-finding trip to Europe, a Democrat who represents Brooklyn in the NY State Assembly, Dov Hikind, said yesterday he is convinced that anti-Semitism has made life intolerable for Jews in England, France, Germany, and Belgium.

At a dinner tonight organized by the New York Association for New Americans, he said he plans to call on President Bush to accord special refugee status to Western European Jews.

While Western European Jews would likely fail to qualify as persecuted refugees under State Department standards, America has made rare exceptions for certain groups in the past, including Jews and other religious minorities in the former Soviet Union who qualified as refugees under the 1989 Lautenberg Amendment. Mr. Hikind wants this treatment extended to Western European Jews.
Mayor Ron Nachman of the city of Ariel, Israel gave DemoCast News his thoughts on this news during his visit to Los Angeles.
He pondered, " The home of the Jewish people is Israel. Why move them to America now when they'll only have to move to Israel eventually, anyway?"

Exposing Anti-Americanism

On the eve of the annual, global broadcast media association's NewsXchange conference, a look into the international, anti-Americanist culture which influences the tone of global newsreporting vis a vis America and Israel.

The Center for New American Media Presents: "The Anti Americans- A Love/Hate Relationship". A film by Louis Alvarez, Andrew Kolker, Peter Odabashian. Linked courtesy German Ray Drake's 'David's Media Critique'

One theory presented is, like anti-Semitism, it's 'ressentiment.' Wikipedia defines
'Ressentiment' as a sense of resentment and hostility directed at that which one identifies as the cause of one's frustration, an assignation of blame for one's frustration. The sense of weakness or inferiority and perhaps jealousy in the face of the "cause" generates a rejecting/justifying value system, or morality, which attacks or denies the perceived source of one's frustration. The ego creates an enemy, to insulate itself from culpability.

Lacking enforceable penalty (social, legal, or physical) for publicly expressing such denigration, such condemnations flourish.

"KillHim.Nu" (i.e, Pres. Bush) is a jihadi-esque pop-music video from Norway which encourages Europeans to hate American culture and take-up arms.

Obsessive anti-Israelism IS racism (and why it's incumbent upon the Media which fomented it to now stem-the-tide to save their societies from it).

British Parliamentarian, Denis MacShane writes in the Washington Post, The New Anti-Semitism:

"Hatred of Jews has reached new heights in Europe and many points south and east of the old continent. Last year I chaired a blue-ribbon committee of British parliamentarians, including former ministers and a party leader, that examined the problem of
anti-Semitism in Britain. None of us are Jewish or active in the unending debates on the Israeli-Palestinian question.

Our
report showed a pattern of fear among a small number of British citizens -- there are around 300,000 Jews in Britain, of whom about a third are observant -- that is not acceptable in a modern democracy. Synagogues attacked. Jewish schoolboys jostled on public transportation. Rabbis punched and knifed. British Jews feeling compelled to raise millions to provide private security for their weddings and community events. On campuses, militant anti-Jewish students fueled by Islamist or far-left hate seeking to prevent Jewish students from expressing their opinions.

More worrisome was what we described as anti-Jewish discourse, a mood and tone whenever Jews are discussed, whether in the media, at universities, among the liberal media elite or at dinner parties of modish
London. To express any support for Israel or any feeling for the right of a Jewish state to exist produces denunciation, even contempt.

Europe is reawakening its old demons, but today there is a difference. The old anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism have morphed into something more dangerous. Anti-Semitism today is officially sanctioned state ideology and is being turned into a mobilizing and organizing force to recruit thousands in a new crusade -- the word is chosen deliberately -- to eradicate Jewishness from the region whence it came and to weaken and undermine all the humanist values of rule of law, tolerance and respect for core rights such as free expression that Jews have fought for over time.

Today there is still denial about the universal ideology of the new anti-Semitism. It has power and reach, and it enters into the soft underbelly of the Western mind-set that does not like Jews or what Israel does to defend its right to exist.

We are at the beginning of a long intellectual and ideological struggle. It is not about Jews or Israel. It is about everything democrats have long fought for: the truth without fear, no matter one's religion or political beliefs. The new anti-Semitism threatens all of humanity. The Jew-haters must not pass.

The Israeli newspaper,
Ha'aretz, published journalist Anshel Pfeffer's exploration into the reasoning of Mr. Robin Shepherd, a senior research-fellow at the Chatham House think-tank in London in "The Objective Anti-Semites."

"Mr. Shepherd has no significant connection to the Jewish people, and his visit to Israel last week was only his second. But he still believes his decision to spend a year researching the new European anti-Semitism is perfectly relevant for any serious observer of international affairs. When asked about his interest in the subject, he first answers on a philosophical level by quoting the polemicist Christopher Hitchens, who has said that "only a moral cretin thinks that anti-Semitism is a threat only to Jews."

He then offers an academic explanation: "The Israel-Palestine conflict is one of the key issues in international relations, and there are very few people in this field without a position on it." His last work was on the wave of anti-Americanism sweeping Europe, and this led him to believe that a new form of anti-Semitism was also at the root of the increasingly critical attitude toward Israel there. (...)

"A much bigger problem is the objective anti-Semitism, the hatred of the State of Israel," he says. "Since Israel is a Jewish state, and if you use false analogies between Israel and Apartheid South Africa and Nazi Germany, you are comparing them with Jews and you are therefore engaged in anti-Semitism."

That doesn't mean that everyone who uses the comparison is an actual anti-Semite, says Shepherd. "That depends on how central [this comparison] is for you. When it becomes an obsession and this is one of the things you find increasingly in Europe - then at this point it becomes a new form of anti-Semitism."

This is Shepherd's answer to the standard response by Israel's detractors in the West, that "not every criticism of Israel is anti-Semitism."

"Of course one can criticize Israel, but there is a litmus test, and that is when the critics begin using constant key references to South Africa and the Nazis, using terms such as 'bantustans.' None of these people, of course, will admit to being racist, but this kind of anti-Semitisim is a much more sophisticated form of racism, and the kind of hate-filled rhetoric and imagery are on the same moral level as racism, so gross and distorted that they are defaming an entire people, since Israel is an essentially Jewish project."

To explain this distinction, he cites Zimbabwe as an example. "A lot of people will defend themselves by saying that their motivation is the cause of the Palestinians. Well, if you wanted to express your disapproval of Robert Mugabe's regime by highlighting his violation of human rights and the way he's destroying the country, then you could say your motivation is human rights, but if you expressed your objection with a cartoon of Mugabe as a gorilla jumping up and down on blood-soaked bananas, that kind of imagery of black people is pure racist. But it's the kind of imagery being used against Israel."

Mr. Pfeffer also relates Mr. Shepherd's explanations for anti-Israelism/anti-Semitism among the media and the far-left, even among Jews themselves. Referring to Noam Chomsky, Shepherd explains, "He is not a self-hating Jew, but his political standing in the left is more important for him than his Jewish identity. That's why the extreme Jewish critics of Israel almost always come from the far left - for them, politics is the most important part of their identity. It might be personally painful for them, but the ideological left is a secular religion, more than any other political group, and for them this religion comes before being Jewish,"

A
must-read.

Anti-Semitism Threatens People of All Faiths and Cultures, Says US Special Envoy Gregg Rickman

This edition of Press Conference USA features a conversation with Gregg Rickman, US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism. Gregg Rickman tells VOA State Department Correspondent David Gollust and host Carol Castiel that many factors account for the rise of anti-Semitism in many parts of the world. He explains why anti-Semitism, or hatred toward Jews, threatens people of all faiths and cultures.

CNN's Double-Standard for "God's Warriors"- CAMERA

"...In contrast to the huge focus on the so-called "Israel Lobby" in "God's Jewish Warriors," in "God's Muslim Warriors," Amanpour doesn't mention the powerful Oil Lobby operating in America and advocating for Muslim, Arab and Palestinian perspectives. She doesn't highlight any of the numerous activist Muslim/Arab organizations that lobby and propagandize to influence American public opinion and foreign policy.

Related to this is the minimal discussion or outright omission of several key factors in the rise of Islamist extremism and increased support for terror:

• Thousands of Saudi-funded mosques and schools built worldwide, including many in the U.S., that spread an extreme supremacist form of Islam. Saudi Arabia has also funded extremist training for those who want to work as Muslim chaplains in the U.S. military and the U.S. prison system.

• Saudi-funded Middle East Studies chairs and departments in universities all over the world, including the U.S.
• Saudi-funded organizations whose goal is to provide American elementary, middle and high schools with slanted curricula and books about the history of the Middle East and Islam

• Saudi-funded student activists and organizations that indoctrinate and propagandize against Israel, the U.S. and for extreme Islamist causes.

• Extremist websites, online videos, and satellite TV networks that foster Muslim supremacist values and support for terrorism among Muslims across the globe.

Instead of examining any of the above reasons for the spread of Muslim extremism, Amanpour includes two highly questionable explanations: reactions to alleged Israeli brutality and feelings of hopelessness. She commendably does mention repressive Arab/Muslim governments as a factor, but doesn't note how these same governments often intentionally use propaganda to fan the flames of hatred for Israel and the West to deflect attention away from their repressive regimes."

Anti-Americanism and Anti-Semitism from Europe

The New Antisemitism: How the Left reversed history to bring Judaism under attack

Britain's mainstream media has created a popular anti-Israel/antisemitic racism, while rationalizing jihad within Britain's homeland and around the globe.

In this TV documentary, journalist Richard Littlejohn exposes the antisemitic racism (antithetical to a liberal society) which mainstream British society has fomented and British Jewry has allowed to fester.

Rejected as too non-PC for the BBC, liberal Channel Four also distanced itself before broadcasting gentile journalist, Richard Littlejohn's documentary, exploring anti-racist Britain's racist sentiment (and violence) towards its Jewish citizens-- and its roots in reaction to Britain's Israel-bashing media, its Islamists, and its Islamist-sympathizing far-left. (courtesy Kasper and Checked300 via YouTube).

In Mr. Littlejohn's accompanying article, "The new anti-Semitism: How the Left reversed history to bring Judaism under attack", he writes in the Daily Mail:

"When some people heard I was making the programme, their first reaction was: 'I didn't know you were Jewish.' I'm not, but what's that got to do with the price of gefilte fish? They simply couldn't comprehend why a non-Jew would be in the slightest bit interested in investigating anti-Semitism. If I had been making a film about Islamophobia, no one would have asked me if I was Muslim. The Labour MP John Mann told me that he experienced exactly the same reaction when he instigated a parliamentary inquiry into anti-Semitism. 'As soon as I set it up, the first MP who commented to me said: "Oh, I didn't know you were Jewish, John."' He isn't, either. But the implication was plainly that the very idea of anti-Semitism is the invention of some vast Jewish conspiracy. (Labour MP John) Mann's inquiry reported: 'It is clear that violence, desecration and intimidation directed towards Jews is on the rise. Jews have become more anxious and more vulnerable to attack than at any time for a generation or longer.' That certainly bears out my own findings. After three months filming across Britain, I reached the conclusion: It's open season on the Jews."

One-woman moonbat-wrecker, Daily Mail columnist and Londonistan authoress, Melanie Phillips, tears The Telegraph's Stephen Pile an external hemorrhoid in her scathing criticism of his distortive commentary about the programme.

She is the lone fighter of Israel-history re-writing among the insidious British media. This one woman tries to set-right the mis-truths that Israel's own Communications Department has allowed to fester to become common-knowledge.

"Israel — plus parts of the land which lie beyond its borders — was the nation state of the Jews hundreds of years before the Arabs invaded it.

The Jews were, indeed, the only people for whom Israel was their nation state. The destruction of the Temple by the Romans in 70 AD, marking the exile of the Jews from their own homeland, and the subsequent longing for the return of Jewish peoplehood in Israel are an intrinsic and unbroken part of Jewish religious thinking, prayer and ritual.

A Jewish presence was maintained continuously in pre-Israel Palestine from the time of the exile, with a Jewish majority in Jerusalem for decades before Israel was re-created in 1948. The historic claim of the Jews to their own historic national home was, indeed, fundamental to the Balfour Declaration which committed Britain to re-establishing that national home in Palestine. The British government’s 1922 White Paper on Palestine made the point that Jewish rights in Palestine were not a gift from anyone:

"[I]n order that [Palestine’s Jewish] community should have the best prospect of free development and provide a full opportunity for the Jewish people to display its capacities, it is essential that it should know that it is in Palestine as of right and not on sufferance.

That is the reason why it is necessary that the existence of a Jewish National Home in Palestine should be internationally guaranteed, and that it should be formally recognised to rest upon ancient historic connection.’

Arrogance? Meet Nemesis!

Today's media circus-teers should take a lesson from the Ancient Greeks, Victor Davis Hanson reminds us.

"The Greeks believed that insolence naturally leads to bullying, or hubris. This arrogance induces a mad behavior called ate. Finally, that recklessness earns well-earned destruction unleashed by the god, Nemesis..."

Hubris and Nemesis, claims Hanson, were a key factor in the fall of pompous broadcast host, Don Imus. In the Duke University scandal, he applies it to those who derived benefit from the allegations, including reverse-bigot plutocrats, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton, and the news media.

"Three Duke players were unjustly accused of rape and sexual offense by an African-American stripper. Local district attorney Mike Nifong, some of the Duke humanities faculty, the Duke University president, and the ubiquitous race hustlers Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton all swarmed on a perfect scandal for political advantage and self-promoting sermonizing.

After all, beer-drinking, rich, white lacrosse athletes were supposedly brutalizing a poor woman of color, forced by her poverty to submit to them sexually.

Despite no evidence, the accused students were charged with felonies. The coach is long gone, and the entire team was disbanded for the year.

The academic mob added its own rush-to-judgment, easy condemnations. Then District Atty Nifong won re-election as a populist crusader against supposedly racist preppie sex-offenders. Seemingly ignoring evidence that the victim was making the charges up, this lynch mob went headlong into mad excess.

Then, wham, Nemesis hit them, too."

Hubris and Nemesis also play significant roles in reporting about political Islam ('Islamism') and Israel. The news media's mis-depiction of the two Palestinian Intifadas (1988-1991 and 2000 til present) has damaged itself and western society through its own hubris. By scapegoating Israel for presumed amorality against a perceived (but Arafat-crafted) Palestinian rebellion, the roles of the Israelis as occupiers and the Palestinians as those seeking to liberate occupied West Bank and Gaza were permanently cast. The news media have largely interpreted any global Muslim aggression to be consistent with that story and that motivation.

Since 9/11, in spite of the evidence of the global, Islamist imperialist movement's reliance on media manipulation to influence international policy (bin-Laden videos) the news media still goes out-of-their-way to rationalize the imperialist movement within Islamism by exaggerating the culpability of the "Zionists"(e.g., evidenced in Reuter-gate staged and doctored photos from Lebanon) and their imperialist ally, the U.S., also mis-characterized as an "unwanted occupier and oppressor."

Public sentiments of anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism are strong world-wide, concomitantly mollifying the West against standing firm to defeat Jihadist imperialism in the Middle East and uprooting it domestically, as France has exemplified.

Marvin Kalb, in the Harvard Study, "The Media as a Weapon in Asymmetrical Conflict," gives evidence that "the Arab narrative is one of a continuing conflict with Israel, one battle leading inexorably to another with intervals reserved for rest, training, recruitment, and the acquisition of new weaponry. Therefore, the conflict ends only when Israel ends."

An arrogant, Western media's prideful scapegoating of Israel continues to mollify the West against the truly malevolent imperialism which continues to challenge freedom around the globe, Islamism.

"Because the harder they come, the harder they'll fall ... one and all." - Jimmy Cliff
