Hillary Clinton's secretary, Huma Abedin, steps out of spotlight as Obama / Clinton Administration establishes relations with Muslim Brotherhood; questions arise

Questions arise from a strange confluence of events:

The Simon Wiesenthal Center criticized the White House today for opening talks with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. The Center referred to a news wire story quoting a unidentified senior U.S. official and confirmed today by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, citing, “The Brotherhood’s rise in political prominence” as the reason for the change in the White House position. “The political landscape in Egypt may have changed since the end of the Mubarak regime,” said Rabbi Marvin Hier, founder and dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. “But the Brotherhood’s hatred of Jews and Israel has not changed at all. This seems like a sell out to the European position and I hope it is not a signal that the United States will acquiesce to Europe and begin talking to Hamas as well.”

A few weeks ago, the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Mohamed Badie (pictured left) said, “Allah has warned us the tricks of the Jews, and their role in igniting the fire of wars… and they labor hard to spread corruption on earth: and Allah does not love the spreaders of corruption.”

Rabbi Hier continued, “We should not be talking to an organization that can lay claim to being the world's leading purveyor of anti-Semitism and hatred of Jews. Legitimizing the Muslim Brotherhood sends the wrong message that you can hate Jews, and still sit and talk with world leaders.”

On the same day, today, The NY Post reports that amidst concern about possible Wahabist-affiliations, Huma Abedin, adminstrative assistant to US Sec'y of State Hillary Clinton, is taking time off from the her senior job with the State Dept- as well as time off from her husband.

FrontPage Magazine last week published an interview with Robert Spencer, author of the Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades), and the director of Jihad Watch. In the interview, Mr. Spencer indicates that what with Ms. Abedin's family involvement in the Muslim Brotherhood and Sisterhood, that Muslima, Huma Abedin's marriage to the scandal-plagued Rep. Anthony Weiner (who professed Judaism when campaigning in a partly Jewish district) was reported by the Arabic al-Marsid newspaper article as being null and void.

“Dr. Anwar Shoeb of the faculty of Islamic law in Kuwait declared that the marriage between Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin is null and void, considering it adultery as confirmed in the Sharia position, prohibiting the marriage of a Muslim woman to a non-Muslim, regardless of whether he is a Jew or a Christian. In this case, he assured the invalidity of the marriage certificate between them.”

Alternatively, Mr. Spencer declares that since the imam of the Islamic Cultural Center in NY encouraged Huma to stand by her husband who disgraced her, Anthony Weiner may have converted to Islam to marry her.

Before Weiner's last re-election, when questioning his Jewish pedigree and Zionist bona fides, challengers asserted that in addition to not caucusing with Jews in the Brooklyn-Queens democratic circles, he had, curiously never drafted any legislation in support of Israel. See video:

In "U.S Ignores Hillary Clinton's Powerful Aide Huma Abedin at Its Own Risk" published in Human Events, Walid Shoebat presents an argument that Hillary Clinton has enabled Huma Abedin (who he argues is a Muslim Brotherhood agent who was never adequately vetted) to benefit the Muslim Brotherhood from within Washington, under the guise of assisting the State Dept.

While Westerners portray The Sisterhood as a simple “mule service,” our own detailed research—which will be released shortly—reveals male supervisors as official members along with their wives and/or daughters. The list includes spies who have proudly disclosed their heroic acts during Israel’s wars with Egypt. Meanwhile, Britain’s most popular newspaper, The Sun, notes on its website at the present time that “ten thousand people, some carrying knives and sticks, have marched on the capital of Sudan calling for the teacher jailed for naming a teddy bear Mohammed to be shot.” The Sun is also urging people to “put a teddy in their window to show their support for Gillian.”

Some commentators, noting that the inaction over the teddy bear incident follows similar inaction after Iran kidnapped 15 British sailors several months ago, said “great” should now be dropped from the name Great Britain.

British broadcaster vindicated over "Undercover Mosque" documentary

Media watchdog Ofcom has rejected complaints by West Midlands Police about a Channel 4 undercover programme that exposed extremism in British mosques.

The programme, called Undercover Mosque, was part of its current affairs Dispatches series and was broadcast in January. It featured TV footage of an Islamic preacher praising the death of a British soldier.

Police claimed that the programme had misrepresented the views of Muslim preachers and clerics with misleading editing.

Following the ruling, the broadcaster called the police's actions "perverse" and said they had, in some people's eyes, given "legitimacy to people preaching a message of hate."

Ofcom said: "Undercover Mosque was a legitimate investigation, uncovering matters of important public interest.

"Ofcom found no evidence that the broadcaster had misled the audience or that the programme was likely to encourage or incite criminal activity."

"On the evidence (including untransmitted footage and scripts), Ofcom found that the broadcaster had accurately represented the material it had gathered and dealt with the subject matter responsibly and in context."

The programme featured undercover recordings from speakers alleged to be homophobic, anti-Semitic, sexist and condemnatory of non-Muslims.

Comments by imams in the film were: "Take that homosexual man and throw him off the mountain", "those whom the wrath of Allah is upon, is the Jew and the Christian", and "it takes two witnesses of a woman to equal the one witness of the man".

Western Europe Unprepared for Islamic Imperialism

Rather than confront the uncomfortable Islamification of Europe, EU governments like the Dutch prefer to vilify Ayaan Hirsi Ali for forcing them to deal with it. In the face of the Netherlands' having withdrawn her security detail, only a generous offer from Denmark might have permitted her to live safely in Europe. But, apparently she's choosing to leave Europe over remaining in America.

A U.S. think-tank said Tuesday funds have been established in the United States and the Netherlands to help pay protection costs for Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Dutch author who faces death threats as a result of her criticism of radical Islam.

Earlier this month, the Dutch government said it would no longer foot an annual bill of roughly $3 million for Hirsi Ali while she lives in the United States.

A spokeswoman for the American Enterprise Institute, where Hirsi Ali is a scholar, said the AEI was processing private donations for her protection as of Tuesday, and a second fund has been set up by Hirsi Ali's Dutch lawyers.

In addition, the AEI plans in the near future to set up a public charity" intended to support the safety of all Muslim dissidents who live under threat," spokeswoman Yael Levin said.

Meanwhile, back in the Netherlands this week, the Muslim stabbing of a policewoman and consequent rioting in Amsterdam's Slotervaart draws attention to the cultural dissonance that the "Palestinian-mollified" European media has created when Islamist cultural imperialism comes a- rioting.

Muslim Moroccan youths rioted in the Slotervaart neighborhood of western Amsterdam overnight Oct. 15, setting cars on fire, damaging other cars and throwing rocks through a police station's windows. The riots followed the death of Dutch-born Bilal Bajaka, age 22, of Moroccan descent. Bajaka allegedly entered the Slotervaart police station Oct. 14 and stabbed two police officers; one of the injured officers shot him dead.

The story of the week wasn't Gen. David Petraeus' testimony on Iraq, although it dominated the headlines. The story of the week wasn't the sixth return of September 11 since the jihad atrocity of 2001, although it inspired many public statements and ceremonies. The week's biggest story garnered little press and few comments. But, in a significant way, this overlooked story — an outrageous display of police force in Brussels on September 11, 2007 — symbolizes the missing link in our flawed comprehension of both Iraq and September 11.

There, in the so-called capital of Europe, 200 people marked the day with a protest against the Islamization of Europe — a civilizational shift which, as Europe increasingly accommodates Shariah (Islamic law), is shockingly advanced. Indeed, Bernard Lewis has already predicted Europe will become Islamic by century's end. Absent a reversal of Islamization (which remains possible) I'm guessing sooner than that.

The assembly, sponsored by Stop the Islamization of Europe, was wholly peaceful — at least until Belgian police showed up. With a chopper above, water cannon nearby, they didn't break heads, exactly — nothing so kind as that. In a photo that should be titled The New Face of Fascism (brusselsjournal.com http://www.brusselsjournal.com/node/2441), we see black-clad Belgian policemen brutalizing a man in a light-colored suit and tie. His hands are cuffed behind his back, his right elbow is clasped in what is known as an arm-bar hold, and he is also being subjected to a genital hold — a vicious grip that, a retired cop friend of mine tells me, would get any American policeman thrown off the force.
