Christian life in Palestine (as in most Muslim societies) is no holiday

Christians in Muslim-dominated societies like Palestinian-ruled Bethlehem
"Today as Christmas is celebrated in song, gift-giving and remembering days of old, at the same time Christians are under tremendous threat, not only in the Middle East but in places like Pakistan, Sudan, Indonesia and beyond. Christmas celebrations are precious to us in terms of family, nostalgia, music and spiritual inspiration. But let's not forget our brothers and sisters around the world. Let's keep them in our prayers as we celebrate the coming of our Lord into this broken world."- Lela Gilbert, author, "Persecuted: the  Global Assault on Christians."

Lela Gilbert, an adjunct fellow at the Hudson Institute residing in Jerusalem, contributes to the Jerusalem Post, Weekly Standard Online, National Review Online, and other publications. We recorded this interview with her in Southern California in the summer of 2016 in advance of the U.S. presidential election.

According to studies by the Pew Research Center, Newsweek, and the Economist, Christians are the world’s most widely persecuted religious group.

Many Americans do not understand that Christians today are victims in many parts of the world. Even many Western Christians, who worship and pray without fear of violent repercussions, are unaware that so many followers of Christ live under governments and among people who are often openly hostile to their faith. They think martyrdom became a rarity long ago.

Persecuted soundly refutes these assumptions. This book offers a glimpse at the modern-day life of Christians worldwide, recounting the ongoing attacks that rarely make international headlines.

As Western Christians pray for the future of Christ’s church, it is vital that they understand a large part of the world’s Christian believers live in danger. Persecuted gives documented accounts of the persecution of Christians in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and former Soviet nations. It contains vivid stories of men and women who suffer abuse because of their faith in Jesus Christ, and tells of their perseverance and courage..

"Persecuted" is far more than a thorough and moving study of this global pattern of violence—it is a cry for freedom and a call to action.

In an exclusive interview with Muslim journalist Khaled abu Toameh (at Gatestone Institute), the prominent Christian figure, Samir Qumsieh (who founded the private Nativity TV Station in Bet Sahour) accuses the Obama Administration of failing to combat ISIS and radical Islam. Qumsieh says he is convinced that President-elect Trump will "terminate" ISIS. Qumsieh discloses that a "Muslim mafia" has been stealing Christian-owned lands in the Bethlehem area.

"I fear the day will come when our churches will become museums. It is my nightmare." — Samir Qumsieh.

  • Samir Qumsieh at work
For the past four decades, Samir Qumsieh, who hails from a large and well-respected Christian family in the town of Bet Sahour, near Bethlehem, has fought for the rights of the region's miniscule Palestinian Christian minority. He has even dared to speak out against the subjugation of Christians living under the rule of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
  • He regularly receives death threats, and he has been the target of a petrol bomb attack.
  • "The solution to extremism starts with the kindergarten, with elementary school. It begins with the churches, with the mosques and the school curricula. Curricula are very important – Jewish, Christian and Muslim ones. They should concentrate on accepting the 'other.' If this idea is adopted, the future generation will be liberal and open-minded." — Samir Qumsieh.
  • "Every day we hear and see some radical Muslim clerics speaking strongly against Christians. Just recently, one of the sheiks was saying that Christian Copts should be slaughtered like sheep. Where is the Egyptian security? If I were in charge of Egyptian security, I would have this sheikh arrested immediately, and have him rot in a dark underground cell." — Samir Qumsieh.
  • "To understand the severity of the situation is, let us recall that in the 1950s about 86% of the population of the Bethlehem area was Christian. Today, we are only 12%. In Israel, by contrast, we have 133,000 Christians and the figure is stable. Of course, I am worried about the future of Christians here." — Samir Qumsieh.
We recorded this interview in May through the assistance of Pastor Roger and Diane Cochran of Calvary Chapel in Long Beach, California. Pastor Roger was awaiting surgery to replace his heart-valve- and boasted pride that it was developed in Israel. Shortly after we recorded his testimony of support for Israel, he collapsed with ventricular fibrilation. We called an ambulance whose technicians saved his life, got him an expedited valve replacement, which enabled him to live an additional one-third year. We dedicate this story to the memory of Zionistic Christian Pastor Roger Cochran. May his memory be an inspiration for all.

Why do Japanese think they invaded Asia and attacked America?

Representatives of Reiyukai Buddhist movement from Japan visited L.A. National Cemetery on Veterans Day. We spoke with them about what their society teaches of the Empire of Japan's march to control Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Oceanians. We asked visiting Reiyukai leader, Ms. Yoko Takahashi, if they feel any blame for the deaths of the Americans buried here. We asked Toshiro Obama, VP of Reiyukai America, what they were taught about why Japan bombed Pearl Harbor.

Late in the video you can see visiting Australian businessman, Heath Williamson, responding to whether Australia needed "liberating" by the Japanese.

Their thoughts on video are consistent with Karmago's expression on a Reddit thread on how Pearl Harbor is perceived Japanese society (2014):
I guess I'm one of the few Japanese on Reddit. I lived in Tokyo for almost 10 years and attended high school there. From what I remember, the subject of WWII was taught something along the lines of this:
External pressures placed upon Japan by the US such as the formation of the ABCD line (American, British, Chinese, Dutch) as well as the trade and resource embargoes that the US imposed on Japan were seen as acts of aggression. This led Japanese military leaders to believe that there was no other option but to launch a preemptive strike on the US. The details of the war itself is just briefly glossed over, but there is a significant amount of emphasis placed on the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and how nuclear weapons are horrible and should never be used again. The unit ended with the moral of the story being that the military leaders made a mistake and that their mistake cost the lives and suffering of millions of people, and that everyone should live peacefully and all that.

Outside of school, I've visited Japanese museums and having spoken with people from that generation, the general consensus about World War II seems to be that it was a war that was fought in order to protect Japan from the Western powers. Views on the military leaders are range from neutral to negative, but most views on Japanese soldiers are seen in a positive light, hailing them as heroes who fought and died protecting the Japanese people. Racial animosity appears to be an unspoken but a significant factor in fighting the war (Japan liberated Asia from the whites etc).

Amb John Bolton appears most qualified, capable to lead US Dept of State

Amb. John Bolton
In the competition for Donald Trump's Secretary of State, news reports claim that the Trump team is leaning towards Mayor Rudy Giuliani or Gov. Mitt Romney. What happened to America's brilliant global leader, Amb. John Bolton?  A few months ago, counter-jihad experts (organized by American Freedom Alliance) addressed the "Islam and Western Civilization: Can they Co-Exist?" conference. They presented first-hand information on the Islamic social and political influence in U.S. government and society.

Our original article from the event addressed two of speakers we recorded, Amb. John Bolton assesses state-of-Islamism-resistance, and the alarming message Dr. Wafa Sultan emerges from 5-year silence to warn us.  Here, in case you missed it, is Amb. John Bolton's talk:

Dr. Karen Siegemund, Exec. Director, American Freedom Alliance asked Amb. John Bolton's ideas the West resisting radical Islamism.

The other speakers we heard and spoke with there:

Patriotic analysts, Daniel Greenfield (US) and
Guy Milliere (France) spoke at the Co-Exist conference
(Alphabetically): Andrew Bostom, Stephen Coughlin, Nonie Darwish, Bosch Fawstin, Frank Gaffney, Daniel Greenfield, Pete Hoekstra, Pamela Geller, Philippe Karsenty, Morton Klein, Trevor Loudon, Admiral James "Ace" Lyons, Guy Milliere, Elisabeth Wolff, James Simpson, Robert Spencer, and Wafa Sultan.

Outside the conference room, Democracy Broadcasting spoke with speakers: Amb. John Bolton, Dr. Andrew Bostom, Guy Milliere, Daniel Greenfield, Major Stephen Coughlin.

Liberal Israeli filmmakers hope Trump era brings greater acceptance of common struggle

Coinciding with the anniversary of Kristallnacht (the night after the US presidential elections) the Israel Film Festival premiered in L.A. on November 10th. Former Bev Hills Mayor Jimmy Delshad tells what Iranian Jews can teach the west regarding the global jihad which US president-elect Donald Trump seeks to thwart through curtailing Muslim immigration to the U.S.

America-Israel relations under Trump? Should Israel Film Festival should portray Israel in favorable light?

Despite liberal Israeli filmmakers penchant for deprecating their society in domestic films, American patrons at the gala fundraiser, Ardyth and daughter Alise, say they expect the Israel Film Festival to select films which depict Israel in a favorable light.

Israel Film Festvial premiere in Hollywood screens Swiss-Israeli director/cinematographer, Raphael Rebibo's film, "Amor," regarding the Jewish dilemma of assisted suicide of terminal patients by relatives. His picture illustrates the conflict between fundamentalist / orthodox religion and liberal society.

Rebibo says that French speaking countries (including Switzerland) nowadays shy away from showing movies from Israel or Israeli filmmakers.

Meni Yaish, director of Israeli mafia drama, "Our Father" in the style of Quentin Tarantino, talks at the premiere of the Israel Film Festival in Hollywood about bringing Israeli domestic movies to an international market. Do Israeli filmmakers and festivals have a responsibility to represent Israel's public image favorably?

Based on a satire by Israeli author, Ephraim Kishon, Koby Azran produced a parody short-subject movie, "An Average Story" starring Itzik Golan as the demographic, average Israeli which catapults him to above-average celebrity.

See Israel Film Festival website for show times in Beverly Hills and Encino.

Obama era crashes as Trump takes White House! Electoral votes reject liberal fascism

The Republican victory over the Democrats is profoundly characterized in these posts from Daniel Greenfield in FrontPage Magazine:

"AMERICAN UPRISING" Everything is about to change. FrontPage Magazine Nov 8, '16
This wasn’t an election. It was a revolution.
It’s midnight in America. The day before fifty million Americans got up and stood in front of the great iron wheel that had been grinding them down. They stood there even though the media told them it was useless. They took their stand even while all the chattering classes laughed and taunted them.

They were fathers who couldn’t feed their families anymore. They were mothers who couldn’t afford health care. They were workers whose jobs had been sold off to foreign countries. They were sons who didn’t see a future for themselves. They were daughters afraid of being murdered by the “unaccompanied minors” flooding into their towns. They took a deep breath and they stood. They held up their hands and the great iron wheel stopped.

THE OBAMA ERA IS OVER
Obama's legacy was dashed to pieces. His frantic efforts to campaign for Hillary did no good. The public did not vocally reject him. What they did was in its own way even worse. They brushed past him. They sidelined him. They gave him passable approval ratings while dismissing his biggest accomplishments. They forgot him. They made it clear that he did not matter.
And that is in its own way far more brutal and wounding. They didn't just destroy the Obama era. Instead they dismissed it as if it never existed.

"THERE IS NO PLAN": OBAMA NEVER BELIEVED IT COULD HAPPEN
For President Barack Obama, Donald Trump's presidential victory is nothing less than a nightmare.
His longstanding vision for progressive change faced sharp and unexpected repudiation Tuesday night from voters still fuming at their perceived diminished prospects.
By Obama's own admission, the major pieces of his presidential legacy are now subject to a gutting by a successor he resents deeply.-

Handicapping the presidential race at the Breeders Cup.

A benefit of having the 33rd running of one of thoroughbred racing's most prestigious international events, the Breeders Cup World Championships at Santa Anita Park (Saturday for a record, 9th time) Hollywood, California is the celebrities who'll mingle among the horse-people.

DemoCast asked some of the celebs who came to predict the winning horses who they like to win the presidential race. Of particular note is actress Susan Sarandon, a social activist who publicly broke with the liberal party line to reject Hillary Clinton as 'way more dangerous than Donald Trump.' She said, in an interview with the BBC, based on what she saw during the primaries, the DNC is "so corrupt, it's not worthy of our votes."

Susan Sarandon publicly denounced Hillary Clinton's candidacy
We spoke with Allison Janney, Emmy-Award winner for her portrayal of C.J. Cregg on TV's "The West Wing; and

British, Channel Four TV Racing commentator (and Big Brother guest) John McCririck made his 33rd visit to the Breeders Cup, this time sporting a red, "Make America Great Again" golf cap;

Finally, Kevin Dillon, star of "Entourage" TV series and motion picture walked down the red-carpet with his wife, actress Jane Stuart and discussed his appreciation for a good horse race track day.

Local favorite stallion, California Chrome (the all-time leading North American horse in earnings won) was upset by Arrowgate final furlongs of the Breeders Cup Classic. Will the political underdogs, Donald Trump or Jill Stein, catch such a break this Election Day?

Pay-to-Prey: Muslim influence in Democrat gov't & policies: What are the ulterior motives?

Wikileaks' emails about the Obama / Clinton hidden operations have distracted the public from the issues of the spreading Islamist revolutions taking place through the Middle East (and Turkey) via military and politics- and through Europe and North America via radicalization of existing Muslims (and converts), hijrah (immigrant invasion), and socio-political influence (lobbying and public relations). Americans must elect an American administration willing to take this on.
The emails feature a list of foreign agents that the Clinton campaign was worried about possibly excluding from fundraising, including people lobbying on behalf of Somalia, United Arab Emirates, Kurdistan, the Transitional Government of Libya, and the Republic of Iraq, among others.- from ‘Take The Money!!’: Emails Show How Clinton Campaign Manages Lobbyist Donations
(Photo: Truthfeed)
Hillary Clinton, whose family's Clinton Foundation has been beneficiary of tens of millions (via Huma Abedin's Muslim and Arab connections and Dennis Cheng's salesmanship) of Muslim countries (and their political and business leaders') donations in exchange for favors such as State Dept. approval of US weapons sales.
Many of the contributions that make up the Clinton Foundation’s $250 million endowment came from foreign governments. According to the Wall Street Journal, “The Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Oman donations,” which range from $12 to $35 million, “went to the endowment drive.” from Wikileaks Clinton Bombshell — ‘Foreign Govt Donors: All the Money Is In’ Breitbart.com
Worrisome is the Clinton family indebtedness (past, present, and future) to deliver for their Muslim patrons.

The Obama Administration has been accused of of appointing potentially-Islamist (or Islamist-connected) advisers to a range of posts. Huma Abedin is the best known, while Mohamed Elbiary senior member of DHS’ Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC) came under fire in June '14  for tweeting about the “inevitable” return of the Muslim “caliphate.” His tweets were later praised by affiliates of the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) and potentially used to recruit extremist followers.  He argued that the Muslim Brotherhood poses no threat to the United States.  (Adam Kredo in Free Beacon 9/15/14).There are also a number of Islamists who have not officially been connected to the Obama administration, but who have had a significant influence on Obama's thinking over the course of his life.  (See Islamist Infiltration of the Obama Administration).

The Obama administration forwarded to John Podesta a list of Muslims vetted to work in Mrs. Clinton's prospective administration. (See "Obama's White House Kept List of Muslims For Top Jobs" by Elliot Friedland, Clarion Project Oct 26, '16)

Donald Trump is more nationalistic in his approach to combating radical Islam and resisting Islamization of America via immigration- which the Democrat campaign has attempted to label as racist.

Apostates and counter-jihad experts at the "Islam and Western Civilization: Can they Co-Exist?" Conference presented first-hand information on the Muslim social and political influence in the Democrat U.S. administration. The American Freedom Alliance organized this conference in Los Angeles at the end of August.

Did Clinton sell Islamists American policy and secrets? 'Democracy needs new strategies against political Islam '- Amb. John Bolton

The mainstream media has done nothing to seriously vet the connection between the Clintons and Saudi Arabia, and the key role Huma Abedin plays in the life and work of Hillary Clinton. Abedin not only lived in Saudi Arabia from the time she was two years old, but her mother, Saleha, currently lives in Saudi Arabia, runs the radical-Muslim, Journal for Muslim Minority Affairs (where Huma served as Assistant Editor for 12-years until Hillary brought her into the State Department (why?), and promotes Shariah law. - Lee Stranahan Breitbart.com 18 Jan 2016

Saudi Arabia and Qatar Bankroll Islamic State and The Clinton Foundation How Hillary welcomed money from those she knew to be funding jihadist killers. by Joseph Klein, Frontpage Magazine, Oct. 13, 2016
The governments of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and groups aligned with them, have not only been major funders of ISIS and other jihadist organizations, as she indicated, but they also have been big funders of the Clinton Foundation for years. Hillary has had no trouble taking money for her foundation from regimes that fund terrorists, oppress women, execute or imprison gays and apostates, and severely punish the exercise of free speech.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia contributed between $10 million and $25 million to the Clinton Foundation through June 2016, according to the Clinton Foundation’s own website (which only reports in ranges of total contributions). Wealthy individuals with close ties to the Saudi royal family have donated millions more. For example, Nasser al-Rashid, a multibillionaire adviser to the Saudi royal family, has donated between $1 million and $5 million.
A group calling itself Friends of Saudi Arabia also contributed between $1 million and $5 million. The National Review described the group as “a thinly veiled public-relations organ of the repressive Saudi regime.” National Review quoted a critique of Friends of Saudi Arabia by Ali Alyami, executive director of the Center for Democracy and Human Rights in Saudi Arabia: “These are Saudi apologists. The country depends on propaganda. . . . When I saw the name ‘Friends of Saudi Arabia,’ I knew exactly what they were going to do and who was paying them. I just wrote them off.”
Although the Friends of Saudi Arabia group was trying to create a false positive image to American audiences of conditions for women in Saudi Arabia, which in fact are amongst the most repressive in the world, Hillary Clinton did not write the Saudi propaganda group off as long as the money kept flowing into her foundation’s coffers. As Alyami observed, “Our government and our people are for sale, and the Saudis know how to buy.”
Former US Amb. to the UN John Bolton addressed conference on Islam and Western Civilization held around Labor Day by the American Freedom Alliance in Los Angeles. The conference presented experts on contending with Islam's cultural and political expansionary nature- and whether it can co-exist within free societies.

Amb. Bolton spoke with A.F.A. Exec. Dir, Karen Siegemund about the West's recognition of Islamism as a political threat to Western Civilization and moderate Muslims everywhere.

Bolton told Dr. Karen Siegemund, "I think Donald Trump has delineated a clear path to defeat radical Islam before it inflicts any more damage on us."

Amb. Bolton called the Democrats' Iran JCPOA more than just a nuclear proliferation problem, but problematic as Democrats granted Iran cash-for-hostages which they now exploit in antagonizing a mollified America with conventional and terrorist hostilities.

Amb. Bolton addressed his keynote overview of the current picture of Islamist imperialist aggression around the globe. He remarked (in this DemoCast.TV embedded video):
"I'd like to talk a little bit about the threat that radical-Islam and political-Islam, more broadly, pose to the United States and its friends in Europe and elsewhere around the world. I think it's important that we try to say at the outset every time this subject comes up- that we are talking about politics and ideology here. This is not a question of religion.
And those who say that 'when you talk about radical-Islam you're insulting Muslims all over the world' are simply engaged in propaganda. It's actually Muslims themselves who have felt the worst effects of Islamic terrorism and who suffer under its rule in places as diverse as Iran and the Caliphate that ISIS now holds."

Amb. Bolton gave this example of Muslims trying to resist the Islamist expansion.

"(Jordan's) King Abdullah and other political leaders in the Middle East have said, 'This is a civil war within Islam. It's a struggle for how the religion is perceived around the world. You think of Gen. al-Sisi in Egypt who was courageous enough a couple of years ago to join the Coptic Christians and the Coptic Pope in their celebration of Christmas- and to say that "We are all Egyptians together" thus, among other reasons, putting a target on his back from the Muslim Brotherhood. So I think that this is a critical distinction to make. And one that those who don't want to have a clear understanding of radical-Islam are quick to try and obscure."

Versha Sharma of "Now This!" organized and moderated the panel "Millenials Calling "Bullsh*t!" described as:
People are quick to judge millennials, but their voices in journalism and beyond are demanding a need for diverse perspectives and authenticity. A discussion of how this new generation is shaping the news, and how everything you know about them is wrong.

Panelists: Jordan Carlos, Tomi Lahren, Alice Ollstein, Guy Benson, and Mary Katharine Ham.

Latina, conservative, Anna Marsh Veneto, spoke outside of Black conservative, Larry Elder's panel at PolitiCon in October '15 to reveal how her family's experience in Argentina encourages Latin-Americans to back Donald Trump and Republican candidates, despite media and leftist attempts to smear the GOP as racist.

Ms. Veneto encourages Republicanism against Hillary Clinton's liberal policies towards illegal immigration- which lowers wages for minorites via increased competition.

Mary Katharine Ham, a panelist on PoltiCon's "Millenials Call Bullsh*t" panel, discusses Trump's pro's and con's - and the problem of media bias to advocate for Democrats- using the conflating of Muslim-Americans and Trump's counter-Islamist immigration policy to smear the GOP and bolster the Democrat administration they helped put into (and hope to keep in) power.

Will real-world Americans overcome Hillary-activist mainstream journalists & pollsters?

Donald Trump speaks during the presidential town-hall debate

October 9, 2016.(Reuters / Saul Loeb)
At last night's US presidential candidates' debate, Hillary Clinton said Donald Trump's charges regarding her emails were untrue, adding that she sees it a good thing that someone with Donald's temperament is not in charge of the law in U.S.

Mr. Trump turned it around, "Because you'd be in jail!"
"A brilliant unwitting defense of Trumpby Ruthie Blum in Israel Hayom, Wed Oct 5, 2016
In his "Global View" column on Monday, Stephens -- a prominent conservative, who announced in May that he was backing Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton because "the stain of a [Republican presidential nominee Donald] Trump administration would cripple the conservative cause for a generation" -- turned a parody of a speech that The Donald supposedly would be delivering in Arizona into a powerful argument in favor of the candidate.

What follows is a draft of a speech Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver Tuesday, Oct. 4 in Prescott Valley, Ariz. We haven’t confirmed its authenticity because, like the rest of the corrupt media, we’re totally dishonest.
Thank you, everybody, thank you. It’s good to be back in Arizona. And you know we’re going to win, right? The polls say we’re going to win in Arizona, and we will.
The polls also say we’d lose the general election if it were held today. But they’re wrong. So wrong. You know how pollsters work? They guess who will show up to vote on election day, and then they poll these “likely voters.”
But let me tell you something. The pollsters have no clue. None. They don’t have a clue who the electorate is, and they don’t have a clue of what’s going on in America. Believe me, folks, on election day they’re going to find out.
