The offices of the Los Angeles Times were closed to the public on Sunday Nov. 1, but that did not stop a group of about 40 demonstrators — many of them Jewish high-school students — from expressing their outrage at how the newspaper has been covering the recent wave of violence in Israel.
“I’m really upset about what the media has been saying — not just the L.A. Times, but many media outlets,” Danielle Younai, a junior at de Toledo High School in West Hills, told the Journal at the Sunday rally.
The 16-year-old, who carried a sign featuring a blown-up version of the Oct. 10 Times article headlined “Four Palestinian teens are killed in Israeli violence,” denounced how the media have portrayed “Palestinians as victims, when they are the ones stabbing.”

Reporter Dave Bryan was conducting an interview around 10 p.m. when the suspect tackled him and his videographer, the station confirmed. “All of the sudden, this guy came up from behind, he had a hood, and he knocked David on the head and he pushed the camera guy down. The camera guy went down, the camera went down, David went down,” witness Joseph Deguerre, said. “I was in shock.” The suspect then fled the scene and the crew was treated for minor injuries, the station added. The attack was under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
About 350 Los Angeles Police Department officers swarmed the Crenshaw district Monday night after groups of youths broke away from the demonstration protesting the George Zimmerman murder trial verdict. The group roamed Crenshaw Boulevard and neighboring streets, breaking windows, setting fires and attacking several people. LAPD Chief Charlie Beck put the public on notice that officers would be taking a more aggressive posture toward protesters beginning Tuesday. "This will not be allowed to continue," he said. Police estimated that about 150 people took part in the violence after the peaceful vigil at Leimert Park following a Florida jury's Saturday acquittal of Zimmerman, 29, on charges of second-degree murder and manslaughter in last year's shooting death of unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Protesters stormed a Wal-Mart at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, pushing their way through as guards scrambled to close security gates. A short while later, LAPD officers wearing helmets and carrying batons swarmed the store as others marched through the parking lot. At a late-night news conference, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti blamed the violence on a "a small group [that] has taken advantage of this situation." He said protesters have the right to voice their disagreement with the verdict, "but people also deserve to be safe on the streets and in their cars."
Outside of the Israeli Consulate in L.A on Thurs 15 Nov, Islamist & far-leftist anti-Zionist groups (led by American Muslims for Palestine) staged a vitriolic protest to Israel's attempt to stop incessant Palestinian terrorist rocketing. Outside of the Israeli Consulate to L.A. on Memorial Day, Daniel a Jewish high-school student defiantly waved the Israeli flag through a crowd of Israel-haters - to defend what he perceives as the Israeli Marines' justified handling of the Flotilla blockade when they came under attack.
The L.A.P.D. had to establish a human wall to intervene to protect Daniel (and afterwards, a couple of other Israel supporters) who stood-up in opposition to the mob mentality of the Gaza protestors, with their version of the facts of the case and rights of expression.
When a Muslim protestor cries, "Allahu akhbar" to incite the crowd against the Jewish boy - the opposition to Israel's politics become subordinated to the perception of "Holy War" as a driving force of the Muslim side of the Arab-Israeli conflict.

"Stand with Us" college organizer, Karen, characterizes the anti-Zionists as not malicious, but "misguided" with regard to the historical legitimacy of Israel and the true intentions of Palestinian-state activists - which she contends is not a peaceful co-existence, but instead, the destruction of Jewish self-rule in Israel.
Scheduling their Islamist-Leftist rally within a week of the murders of 6 innocent Jewish civilians in Mumbai at the hands of Muslim terrorists perhaps amplified the subtext of the anti-Israel-ists crusade.
Do anti-Zionists condone violence or terrorism to intimidate people from disagreeing with or opposing their dogma?
The anti-Zionists demonstrated no acknowledgment or remorse shown about that, nor was any acknowledment of the mysterious death of the multiculturalist Jewish physician, Dr. Dan Kliman. Known for opposing Islamist-Leftist mis-information rallies against Israel with counter-protests (pictured, courtesy of San Francisco Voice for Israel), Dr. Kliman's body was found this week at the foot of the elevator shaft in the Pacific Arabic Resources School. He took evening classes to learn the Arabic language from Muslim teachers there.
For years, Dr. Kliman voluntarily responded to slanderous, anti-Israel rallys. He reached-out to Muslims and Leftists to achieve mutually respectful resolutions of Muslim-Jewish / Arab-Israeli issues. But (according to the blog "At the back of the Hill") not all Muslims were as respectful towards Dan.
* Dan was very well-known to the other side, his picture was posted on several sites identifying him as a Zionist "conspirator" and one of the lead-activists in the Bay Area.
* He had received several death-threats over the years - he was known by name and address.
* The pro-Palestinian side has often either used violence or threatened to do so - Dan was assaulted several times.
* The building where he was found was where he was taking Arabic classes; there were NO classes that week.
* Several members of the other side also take Arabic classes - that is one of the few schools in the area where Arabic is taught, and there is a constantly changing roster of Israel-haters studying Arabic there.
*The defective elevator had been secured so no one could enter it.
And until the police PROVE that it was an accident, I have to suspect that Dan was jumped by pro-Palestinian opportunists, who knew who he was, that the building was nearly empty, and that they would not soon have so excellent a chance to "get that Zionist!"
Dan was hated. And he was alone in a place frequented by many of his enemies.
