How laxity towards Islamism and anti-Zionism results in massacres of Jewish westerners

Muslim leaders, politicians, and journalists who have participated in the agenda of lies and hatred against Israel should today hang their heads in shame. - The Commentator March 21, 2012

For it is now clear that the killer was motivated by the same kind of lies about Israeli actions in Gaza that have been peddled and therefore legitimised for years by Muslim leaders in France and across Europe. 

Let us be clear. There has not been one single instance, ever, of the Israeli military deliberately targeting Palestinian children in a school in Gaza. Palestinian children have died in the overall conflict of course. But even that indirect responsibility lies with the people who have started all the wars, namely Palestinian terror groups such as Hamas. 

That is the incontrovertible truth of the matter. Yet you'd never know it if you listened to Europe's Muslim leaders who have whipped up the kind of hysteria against Israel in which the sort of attack that took place on Monday was always likely to take place.

The al-Qaeda affiliated group who claimed responsibility for the attacks, Jund al-Khilafah, and the statement they posted on jihadist websites:

"On ... March 19th, our brother Yousef the Frenchman carried out an operation that shook the foundations of the Zionist Crusaders ... and filled their hearts with terror," said the statement apparently referring to the shooting of an Israeli-French teacher and three children at a Jewish school in France.
"We claim responsibility for these operations," said the statement, adding that Israel's "crimes ... will not go unpunished."

Henry Samuel, Telegraph's French correspondent, claims that Mohammed Merah filmed all his murders in gory detail, according to the prosecutor, and can be heard saying "you killed my brothers, I kill you!" in one execution.

Who did the civilian schoolteacher Rabbi Jonathan Sandler (who did not serve in the IDF) kill?  Which 'crimes' did French Muslim, Mohammed Merah believe he would avenge by blowing the brains out of Rabbi Sandler's children, aged 4 and 5, or 7-year old Miriam Mosonego?

According to the IDF Blog article, "Top Tweet on Gaza Proven False" from a week ago Monday, 12 March:

Two photos tweeted in the past 24 hours, both allegedly depicting the results of Israeli air strikes in Gaza in recent days, have been proven false. 

The photo first tweeted by Khulood Badawi (@KhuloodBadawi) and later by Diana Alzeer (@ManaraRam), allegedly depicting a Palestinian girl killed by an Israeli air strike yesterday, was proven to have originated in 2006 and to have had nothing at all to do with Israeli action. This photo is now the top tweet for #Gaza, with over 300 retweets. It is completely false.  

In fact, the photo was taken by Reuters on August 9, 2006. It was originally released with an incorrect caption, and then corrected a day later:

The original tweets, however, have already been picked up by hundreds of others and continue to circulate around the web, despite having been thoroughly disproved. (Honest Reporting).

Any Palestinian child casualties in such operations occur solely as a tragic and inadvertent by-product of war – and as often as not because the Palestinians have put their own children in harm’s way. 

Yet this deranged belief that the Israelis deliberately kill Palestinian children is not only pumped out daily by the Arab and Muslim world inciting their people to hate Jews and to murder them as a holy act; not only do western progressives ignore this incitement and pretend instead that Islamic terrorism arises from legitimate ‘grievances’; these same western progressives themselves pump out precisely the same lies and incitement -- and then suggest that the deliberate murder of Jewish innocents is the moral equivalent of attempts by Israel to prevent the slaughter of yet more innocents.

Lisa Holland, foreign affairs correspondent for Sky News writes Tripoli Shock: Minders Snatch 'Rape Victim':

We were having breakfast in our hotel when the woman broke in and said she'd been picked up at a checkpoint in the city.

The woman was gagged by hand and taken away by minders

She claimed she had been held for two days, and that she had been raped and tortured.

The woman showed marks on her body which she said she had received as a result of beatings by the people who were holding her, Gaddafi supporters.

She showed marks on her legs and on her wrists, which she suggested came from handcuffs.

In a state of great distress, she said she had suffered this beating because she was from Benghazi, the city where the uprising began in the east of the country.

As journalists tried to speak to her, things got out of control and the police minders waded in, trying to physically shut her up and stop her talking.

Hers is not the voice they want heard in this country. In the commotion a gun was pointed towards the Sky News team in an attempt to stop them filming.

A team from CNN had their camera smashed in front of them.

After about 15 minutes the woman was dragged outside the hotel and put into a waiting car.

As I tried to get in the way, a minder put his hand over the woman's mouth to stop her talking.

She was driven away at speed and we have no idea where she was taken. Her story could not be immediately verified, but the scene provided glimpse of the atmosphere in the city.

Government officials initially said they knew nothing about this woman, although another official later added the woman's mental health would be assessed.

Now that you've seen the true ugly head of Arab press-handlers, imagine the gov't henchmen breaking the arms of domestic stringer journalists for international news agencies if they dare vary from any fabrication the Arab gov't wants to convince the world of. That's how what you've been told about Palestine has been shaped. (That Palestinian Arabs are a nation who's land is being occupied by Israelis- and Israel perpetrates atrocities conventionally, and that if only Israel would give them their own state & army & pull Jews away, then the Palestinians would stop slaughtering innocent Israeli children in their cradles and live happily alongside of Israel). Try to re-think everything you've been told that came out of Palestine (or the complict reporters hoteling in East Jerusalem) regarding the Palestinian - Israeli governments - and their roles - and how a State will be a panacea for the region and the world. After the Holocaust against the Jewish people.

Our results so far show that at least, if all armed police are counted, 426 of the 1180 people who PCHR classifies as "civilians," were, in fact, militants.

That means 660 people were legitimate combatants under IHL and therefore legitimate targets.

Why, then, did the PHRC classify so many known militants as civilians? One can only conclude that the reason is to deceive the media.

Such a high number of Al Qassam members among the police killed indicates that Hamas itself does not distinguish between its so-called civilian and military wings. Effectively, Hamas considers its police to be the same as its military force. If Hamas does not make such a distinction, why shouldn't everyone else conclude that its entire police force is a legitimate target?

We have identified 355 militants in addition to the police, of whom 157 were identified as civilian by PCHR.

Elder of Ziyon's team cross-checked the names listed by PCHR with lists of "resisters" compiled by the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, lists of "martyrs" published by Hamas, the Popular Resistance Committees and other militant groups in Gaza, as well as from the Ma'an News Agency, Palestinian Arabic discussion groups and other sources.

Our preliminary results show that at least 342 of the people killed, that PCHR classifies as "civilians," were, in fact, militants. The PCHR's statistics are deceptive and slanted towards creating a false impression of IDF brutality.

Reham Abdel-Karim, Director of the Office of MBC in Gaza, told Asharq Alawsat, "There is no freedom ... Freedom here means to express the views of the governing party only."   Reham Abdel-Karim describes the press in Gaza as having become a mirror of the ruling party, and acting otherwise causes questioning. "We received a lot of calls and threats. [Hamas] tried various means, including diplomacy and the threat of direct action." He said, "I received an anonymous phone call threatening me with death if I covered events commemorating the death of late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat," pointing out that the contacts are all-encompassing: "They contact us by name, one by one, and threatened us with death." In the wake of mainstream-media whitewashing the motivations of Islamic terrorists in India:

In They're Winning, terrorism expert Steve Emerson says there’s no hope of victory in the war on terrorism until we call it what it really is.

Watching and reading the last 5 days of reports of the Mumbai attacks was an Alice in Wonderland experience. Even after an Islamic terrorist group took credit, TV anchors and reporters assiduously avoided the term Islamic terrorist. They must have consulted with the Thesaurus for the Politically Correct to determine that the word “gunmen” would not offend any jihadist.

The real truth is that there is war against the West and the Jews by Islamic jihadists.

On Wednesday, even though everyone knew by then that the perpetrators were jihadists, CNN constantly referred to the terrorists as “extremists”—with no modifier. Hell, they could have been the Basque ETA or the ultra right wing U.S. militia. Then a CNN anchor asked his guest with totally innocence, “Now why would an extremist group target a Jewish house of worship?” Because, my dear politically correct anchor, it was an Islamist terrorist group.

Last year, the Departments of State and Homeland Security issued an internal memorandum that henceforth no one could use the term “Islamic terrorists” and could only use the generic term “militant” or “extremist.” Even President Bush, who once invoked the term “Islamofacism,” now refuses to use the term Islamic terrorist.

It is time to stop caving in to the PC crowd. If we refuse to use the term Islamic terrorist, we conveniently take away any onus of responsibility for Islamic groups to halt the murderous ideology they propagate. In fact, in nearly EVERY claim of responsibility, which I studied, for hundreds of violent Islamic attacks which took place since 9/11, the common justification by the Muslim terrorist perpetrator was that there was a “war against Muslims” by the West and the Jews that had to be avenged. The real truth is that there is war against the West and the Jews by Islamic jihadists. And no amount of territorial withdrawal or peace negotiations will assuage them.

Wall St. Journal's Pulitzer-prize-winner slams mainstream press' subjective scrutiny of candidates as 'not journalism, but show-biz'

Ms. Rabinowitz refers to CNN-anchor Campbell Brown as

"One of the least informed people I have ever met holding forth on television."

Ms. Rabinowitz claims that this explains why she believes Ms. Brown has been so nasty towards Republican vice-presidential candidate, Gov. Sarah Palin: "She sees her own."

Polls can reveal underlying or emerging trends and help campaigns decide where to focus.

The danger is that commentators use them to declare a race over before the votes are in. This can demoralize the underdog's supporters, depressing turnout.

Some polls are sponsored by reputable news organizations, others by publicity-eager universities or polling firms on the make. None have the scientific precision we imagine.

Polls have proliferated this year in part because it is much easier for journalists to devote the limited space in their papers or on TV to the horse-race aspect of the election rather than its substance.


The last national poll that showed Mr. McCain ahead came out Sept. 25 and the 232 polls since then have all shown Mr. Obama leading. Only one time in the past 14 presidential elections has a candidate won the popular vote and the Electoral College after trailing in the Gallup Poll the week before the election: Ronald Reagan in 1980. ..."In this case, as in the case of the lynching eight years ago, the reason the BBC apologized is not because the film's images were too gruesome, but because it strayed from the accepted narratives of the Palestinian war against Israel. To maintain the narratives, "the right editorial balance between the demands of accuracy and the potential impact on the program's audience," is one that engenders the belief that Israel is either morally indistinguishable from the Palestinians, or that Israel is morally inferior to the Palestinians."... Media-bias on Muslim terror vs Jews persists; evidenced in 'Palestinian Rampage through Jerusalem in Bulldozer' story; killing 3, injuring 66

More than 60 innocent people in the Jewish state of Israel's capital of Jerusalem were injured, and 3 people were killed by a Muslim driving a bulldozer on a deadly rampage against Israelis. Here's The Jerusalem Post's perspective on the story:

Three people were killed and 66 were wounded - one moderately and the rest lightly - on Wednesday afternoon when a bulldozer driver went on a rampage in downtown Jerusalem.

A half-dozen cars were flattened and others were overturned by the Caterpillar vehicle. A bus was also overturned, and another bus was heavily damaged. The attack, at the junction of Jaffa Road and Sarei Yisrael St., set off a panic in the area and left a large swath of damage in the heart of the capital. Traffic was halted, and hundreds of people fled through the streets in panic as medics treated the wounded. A car was dragged several meters by the bulldozer before being crushed under the vehicle. A baby was pulled out by a passerby before the vehicle was crushed, with the child's mother still inside.

Finally, an off-duty soldier took a gun from a security guard at the scene and shot the terrorist, who cried "Allah Akhbar" (God is great) before being killed. The soldier was assisted in neutralizing the attacker by Eli Mizrahi, a member of police's elite Yasam anti-terror unit.

Police said the incident was definitely a terror attack, but stressed that they had no specific warning. Three terrorist groups claimed responsibility for the attack, including the Al Aksa Martyrs' Brigade, which is affiliated with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement. The other two were the Galilee Freedom Battalion, which is suspected of being affiliated with Hizbullah, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a fringe left-wing terror group.

How was it reported by media which you saw/read?

• What was the reporter's 'spin' on the story? "Disgruntled employee goes beserk?" Where was the story directed (or omitted)- at the bulldozer, the victims, the event, the identities?
• Who was the culprit: Palestinian? Arab? Muslim?
• Was the possible motive addressed? Was it racism? Religious hatred? Seeking to kill Jews towards achieving martyrdom?
• Was act called 'terror' or 'terrorism'? Why? Why not?
