Hillary Clinton's secretary, Huma Abedin, steps out of spotlight as Obama / Clinton Administration establishes relations with Muslim Brotherhood; questions arise

Questions arise from a strange confluence of events:

The Simon Wiesenthal Center criticized the White House today for opening talks with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. The Center referred to a news wire story quoting a unidentified senior U.S. official and confirmed today by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, citing, “The Brotherhood’s rise in political prominence” as the reason for the change in the White House position. “The political landscape in Egypt may have changed since the end of the Mubarak regime,” said Rabbi Marvin Hier, founder and dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. “But the Brotherhood’s hatred of Jews and Israel has not changed at all. This seems like a sell out to the European position and I hope it is not a signal that the United States will acquiesce to Europe and begin talking to Hamas as well.”

A few weeks ago, the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Mohamed Badie (pictured left) said, “Allah has warned us the tricks of the Jews, and their role in igniting the fire of wars… and they labor hard to spread corruption on earth: and Allah does not love the spreaders of corruption.”

Rabbi Hier continued, “We should not be talking to an organization that can lay claim to being the world's leading purveyor of anti-Semitism and hatred of Jews. Legitimizing the Muslim Brotherhood sends the wrong message that you can hate Jews, and still sit and talk with world leaders.”

On the same day, today, The NY Post reports that amidst concern about possible Wahabist-affiliations, Huma Abedin, adminstrative assistant to US Sec'y of State Hillary Clinton, is taking time off from the her senior job with the State Dept- as well as time off from her husband.

FrontPage Magazine last week published an interview with Robert Spencer, author of the Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades), and the director of Jihad Watch. In the interview, Mr. Spencer indicates that what with Ms. Abedin's family involvement in the Muslim Brotherhood and Sisterhood, that Muslima, Huma Abedin's marriage to the scandal-plagued Rep. Anthony Weiner (who professed Judaism when campaigning in a partly Jewish district) was reported by the Arabic al-Marsid newspaper article as being null and void.

“Dr. Anwar Shoeb of the faculty of Islamic law in Kuwait declared that the marriage between Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin is null and void, considering it adultery as confirmed in the Sharia position, prohibiting the marriage of a Muslim woman to a non-Muslim, regardless of whether he is a Jew or a Christian. In this case, he assured the invalidity of the marriage certificate between them.”

Alternatively, Mr. Spencer declares that since the imam of the Islamic Cultural Center in NY encouraged Huma to stand by her husband who disgraced her, Anthony Weiner may have converted to Islam to marry her.

Before Weiner's last re-election, when questioning his Jewish pedigree and Zionist bona fides, challengers asserted that in addition to not caucusing with Jews in the Brooklyn-Queens democratic circles, he had, curiously never drafted any legislation in support of Israel. See video:

In "U.S Ignores Hillary Clinton's Powerful Aide Huma Abedin at Its Own Risk" published in Human Events, Walid Shoebat presents an argument that Hillary Clinton has enabled Huma Abedin (who he argues is a Muslim Brotherhood agent who was never adequately vetted) to benefit the Muslim Brotherhood from within Washington, under the guise of assisting the State Dept.

The Islamist-ideologue Muslim Brotherhood then assasinated Sadat for enacting peace with Jewish Israel (which got Egypt the entire Sinai peninsula and billions of dollars in U.S. aid).

Ra'anan. Gissin discusses Egypt and Israel with 30 Years After

Dr. Gissin believes Pres. Obama's public abandonment of long-time ally Mubarak to a popular uprising sends a cautioning message to Arab oil producing regimes frightened of Iran's growing military power - that their political allying with the U.S. will not provide them protection from a menacing, soon to be nuclear, militant Iran.

The U.S. needs Arab oil-producers as allies to fend-off enemy Iran from manipulating oil-production to damage the global economy- particularly Western civilization. With it's growing hegemony over those oil-producers, Iran could manipulate US support away from Israel and towards Iran/OIC countries, who could ally for a pan-Muslim siege to conquer Jerusalem and Israel.

Furthermore, the threat of an Islamist oil-war against Western economies, would advance Islamist encroachment within Western societies, politics, and culture.

The conflict between individualism and Islamism would feed the Hojjatieh apocalyptic Islamist sect within Iran's mullah-cracy - which seeks global conflict to expedite their messiah, the 12-Imam's, arrival which they believe would secure Muslims' status in the hereafter.

Steve Emerson, Rep. Brad Sherman overcome MPAC, ISNA rage to expose Islamist-terror links among State Dept relations

On Tuesday 29 July, the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) demonstrated in front of the Office of Congressman Brad Sherman, Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Terrorism and Nonproliferation. The demonstrators demanded the cancellation of a subcommittee hearing on whether American foreign aid is going to organizations affiliated with terrorists.

“This hearing will go on. We need to make sure that the State Department is not giving U.S. tax dollars to those on the other side in the war on terrorism,” said Sherman. “I know there are many in our community so desperate for peace that they want us to sweep under the rug the pro-terrorism positions of some groups. There are groups in the Islamic world truly dedicated to peace, but we should not blind ourselves to the fact that some are not.”

An additional organization was involved in the effort to try to derail the hearings. The organization is the Islamic Society on North America. This group was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator by the Justice Department in the case alleging efforts to raise money for Hamas. Further, a recently declassified FBI memo on NAIT, the parent organization of the Islamic Society of North America, states as follows: “Within the organizational structure of the NAIT are those… who have declared war on the US… with the common goal being to further the Holy War (Islamic jihad).”

Steve Emerson, Executive Director of the Investigative Project, outlined some of the more troubling aspects of participation with these groups: namely their ties to terrorist entities and promotion of radical Islamic ideology. A number of groups that the State Department has cooperated with have links to entities such as Al Qaeda, Hamas and Hizballah - which are designated as terrorist organizations by the United States government. The groups partnering with the State Department help to support an ideology that focuses on eliminating secular Western powers and promoting their stringent ideas of Sharia law, or law as governed by Islamic text.

In his testimony, Emerson argued that the State Department's actions in funding these programs only serves to legitimize fundamentalist voices who wish to promote a strict interpretation of Islam. This approach helps to increase support for terrorist groups and violence, which will help to aggrandize fundamentalist theology worldwide. The focus of the State Department's funding should promote genuinely moderate voices within the Muslim community, rather than reaching out to those who justify violence, support designated terrorist groups, and promote the funding and support of jihadist ideology globally.

While the outreach to the Muslim community by the State Department "is an honorable and worthwhile pursuit, the State Department has conducted outreach to the wrong groups, sending a terrible message to moderate Muslims who are thoroughly disenfranchised by the funding, hosting and embracing of radical groups that purport to be opposed to terrorism and extremism," Emerson wrote in his testimony further stressing the idea that the State Department's polices need to be reanalyzed in order to better select which Islamic organizations receive funding in order to promote peace and understanding.

Palestinians Fail to Protect Sensitive U.S. Intel Secrets - Captured by Islamists

The Palestinian group’s Syrian and Iranian sponsors will pay a king’s ransom for this unique collection of explosive secrets hidden by many a Western intelligence agency and government.

Damascus and Tehran will be hugely empowered with the means to stay a jump ahead of American moves in the region and tools to sabotage US policies at any time. They will have a store of national secrets and compromising information to hold over the heads of Western leaders and officials, lists of undercover agents, and records of covert operations carried out by the Israeli Mossad, Shin Bet and Military Intelligence, CIA, British MI6 and other Western agencies.

Iran, Syria and Hamas will know the names of politicians, including Israelis, who worked secretly with Palestinians and their shady deals.

One intelligence expert said that the Gaza hoard left in enemy hands by Abbas and Mohammed Dahlan are the crown jewels compared with the Saddam Hussein’s intelligence archives.

In the Palestinian security service building, Hamas found computer hard disks covering years of undercover activity and a complete set of sophisticated wiretapping and surveillance equipment and sensors which the CIA and MI6 gave Mahmoud Abbas and his forces. It was all in perfect condition ready to switch on.

After the Nazi regime was defeated at the end of World War II and Eastern Germany fell in the 1990s, there were officials willing to make a desperate effort to destroy or hide their intelligence treasure. Palestinian intelligence officers did not burn a single page."

Anti-Israel Bias Revealed by State Department's Gaff

Rush to wrongly chastise Israel over 1982 settlement reveals State Dept's prejudice against Jewish State. From the NY Sun:

"Indeed, before the State Department even said that Israel should abide, why didn't they first check? Or why haven't they checked by now? And the same question can be asked of the New York Times. They editorialized and wrote about the story. They have reporters in Israel. Why didn't they first check?

It seems increasingly clear that the settlement isn't new. And yet between the State Department, the AP, the New York Times, and others, for two days Israel was repeatedly attacked and accused of violating a peace agreement. We're reminded of the Winston Churchill line that "a lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on."

Will the Times and the AP apologize for printing incorrect stories, and for misinterpreting the State Department statement (as State claims)? And will the State Department apologize at a minimum for not contradicting erroneous claims made in its name? "
