Was the airplane of Israel's new chief of the disputed territories sabotaged?

Brig. Gen. Munir Amar's (left) plane crashes 7-weeks into governing Territories
Israeli Brigadier General Munir Amar, chief of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories Unit (COGAT), was killed on Friday when the light plane he piloted crashed into a cliff about fifteen minutes after takeoff, Israeli news site Ynet reported. Gen. Amar, the only person aboard, had only assumed the role from a Jewish Israeli 7-weeks ago.

COGAT's website describes the unit as "responsible for implementing the government's policy in Judea and Samaria and vis-à-vis the Gaza Strip" and "constitutes the civilian authority for residential zoning and infrastructure and is responsible for addressing the needs of Israeli settlements in the West Bank."

Amar's predecessor, Brig. Gen. David Menachem, had lead constant efforts to improve and develop the economy and infrastructure of Judea and Samaria, assist the local population, and maintain Israel's security.

Examples include introducing initiatives to develop the agriculture, hi-tech and export sectors in Judea and Samaria; increasing the number of Palestinian workers in Israel;

facilitating the entrance of Palestinian men over 55 and women over 50 into Israel without requiring a permit; and generally increasing cooperation between Israel and the Palestinians.

Before assuming his COGAT position on February 3rd, Amar served as commander of the IDF's Arab-speaking Sword Battalion, commander of the Hermon Brigade, and commander of the Home Front Command's Northern District.

Amar, 47, was a married father of three and a resident of the Druze town of Julis in the western Galilee, Israeli news site Walla reported.

Hollywood rabbi blares clarion-call to awaken Hollywood Dems against enabling Obama's deleterious policies

Lone Rabbi warns Hollywood illusion-makers against being seduced by Obama's spell and their mutual narcissism.

Pres. Barack Obama was greeted upon arrival in L.A. with a shofar (ram's horn) blare from Orthodox Rabbi Moshe Parry of L.A. The chilling blare was intended to be a Jewish alarm-clock awakening for the President, his gathering donors (many of whom are Jewish in the entertainment-industry) who gather to fete and fund him, and for you, the viewer - as to the misguidedness of Obama's Adminstration's pandering to Islamism - especially at the peril of the safety of America's Mid-East ally, Israel, against a pan-Islamic enemy, and the threats which a state of Palestine would pose to Israel, its pilgrim Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, and emboldening the global Jihad against the West.

Journalist, Alan Caruba, expounds on the question of "Why are Liberals Blind to the Evil in the World?" in today's Canada Free Press:
Why do so many Jews, located primarily in New York City, Los Angeles, and in Florida, mindlessly vote the Democrat Party line and thus support the Democrat destruction of the nation remains a mystery to me, but the same can be also said of Afro-Americans. Perhaps it is because both share a history of persecution and both are drawn to any message of hope and change.

Politically, however, too many Jews who are seen as shapers of public opinion often appear to be blind to evil in the world. They cannot seem to recognize those who would kill them and their fellow countrymen. Unfairly, we expect Jews to be more moral, more just, more resistant to evil, but they are just like the rest of us, easily seduced by power, fearful of rejection.

It is a familiar liberal failing to refuse to recognize evil, to name it, and to denounce it.

Media falsely reporting facts about Bethlehem at Christmas

Aaron Klein exposes international coverage of ancient Christian city

Like clockwork, every year at this time reporters file misleading and, in some cases, outright false reports about the state of Christmas in Bethlehem.

They claim Israeli policies have wreaked havoc on the city's economy and that Israel is responsible for the massive flight of Christians from Bethlehem. Yet the news media completely ignore Muslim intimidation and get their facts wrong on documented history and the true state of affairs in this ancient town.

As an example, Al-Jazeera's video story, "Israel's policy leaves family stranded" here intentionally distorts both history and facts.

Investigative reporter Aaron Klein debunks al-Jazeera's myths in his complete story on World Net Daily.

Insider leaks plans for Palestinian state

Secretive U.S.-backed discussion focuses on West Bank, Jerusalem as Checkpoints removed and Jewish settlements' defenses confiscated

Aaron Klein of WorldNetDaily reports: U.S.-backed negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians are expected to generate an agreement by the end of the year that would set up a Palestinian state in the West Bank and eastern sections of Jerusalem, according to a source who has participated in the talks.

According to the source who has been playing a role in the meetings, the two sides are drafting an agreement, to be signed by the end of the year, requiring Israel to evacuate most of the West Bank and certain eastern sections of Jerusalem.

The source said Israeli community blocks in the zones of Gush Etzion, Maale Adumin and Ariel would remain Israeli while most of the West Bank and parts of Jerusalem will be slated for a Palestinian state.

In contradiction to statements by Olmert, the status of sections of Jerusalem is being negotiated but the specifics of any agreed-upon Israeli withdrawal is as yet unclear, said the source.

"It is understood [Jerusalem] Arab neighborhoods would become part of a Palestinian state," the source said.

The source told WND both sides agreed Israel would retain Jerusalem's Pisgat Zeev neighborhood, which is located near large Arab communities. Many of those Arab towns were constructed illegally on property owned by the Jewish National Fund, a Jewish nonprofit that purchases property using Jewish donors funds for the stated purpose of Jewish settlement.

At the same time, Israel Today reports: Israeli authorities in recent weeks began seizing weapons issued to Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria (the so-called "West Bank") to protect them in case of Palestinian terrorist infiltrations into their communities.

The move comes at the same time that Israel, under US pressure, is fulfilling its latest security gesture to the Palestinian Authority by removing from Judea and Samaria tens of military checkpoints and roadblocks meant to hinder the movement of terrorists.

In a letter this week to the Israeli army commander in charge of the region encompassing Judea and Samaria, Dani Daya, who chairs the council of Jewish communities in the area, expressed shock and deep concern that "these steps are being carried out...at the same time that unprecedented steps are being taken to ease the security restrictions on Palestinians."

Daya and others suggested that the parallel moves appear to have been coordinated to purposely undermine the security of Jews living in Judea and Samaria as the government tries to accelerate plans to surrender the area to the Arabs.

Video: Caroline Glick speaks about the Jihad, Israel, and the West's policy folly

How is the US administration's strategy to seek establishment of a Palestinian state damaging to the integrity of the world?

The West's push to reward the Jihadist movement in Gaza and the West Bank with sovereignty is antithetical to the goals of defeating global Jihad, cautions deputy managing-editor of The Jerusalem Post, Ms. Caroline Glick, in this exclusive video interview with DemoCast TV.

The nature of the West's guaranteeing Israel's security against Islamic imperialism is a litmus test for the world to gauge the West's preparedness to defend the world from Jihad, she believes. It's also a litmus test to encourage or discourage support for the cause of the global Jihad.

Ms. Glick questions the 'conventional wisdom' currently guiding the West, i.e, to pressure Israel to surrender legal Jewish communities surrounding holy Jewish lands in the West Bank- in order to establish a hostile state of the global Jihad (dedicated to subjugating non-Muslims through violence and conquest). Palestine evidences its unworthiness, she states, by Hamas's custodianship of Gaza - utilized not wage peace, but to wage a 2-year, missile war against Israeli cities and towns.

Ms. Glick is the Senior Middle East Fellow at the Center for Security Policy and is one of several co-authors of the Center’s latest book, "War Footing." She has been a senior researcher at the IDF’s Operational Theory Research Institute (which as Israel’s Defense establishment’s most prestigious think tank is roughly equivalent to the US’s Rand Corporation). She has also worked as an adjunct lecturer in tactical warfare at the IDF’s Command and Staff College.

In 2003, Glick was named "The Most Prominent Woman in Israel" by the Israeli newspaper, Maariv.
